^capcom noted that cody’s special remain the same in every aspect. so at least for bad spray / stone I’dn’t count on any changes.
I played AE last night and it felt the same to me. I only noticed the EX Zonk distance. Wish the walk speed was improved but whatever. Only played 4 times so I was just barely getting a feel for the stick and buttons. If you play against Yun and Yang a lot (which will probably happen now), then you can get a lot of victories if you’re really good since they have low health and high stun.
that last sentence made me giggle. ^^ that’s true for any matchup / character xD
EARLY scoping makes me belive cody will have a bad matchup against the twins. but time will tell.

Planet Zero in Houston got their AE.
For the most part, Cody feels the same movement wise but it seems like he dishes out a bit more damage. EX Bingo feels the same on range. His 3-frame cr. lk helps out a lot. Crack-kick I haven’t tested since the wait on playing the game was at least 45 min.

Has forward medium punch been nerfed cos it dont look like he moves forward anymore when he does it? :S

i think that is only due to camera moving. if you watch closely there is dust at his feed, indicating forward movement.
bad spray could be faster but dunno for sure. I saw it in a match aswell and thought that a momen. but this would be a conflict with capcom’s statement about his specials.
in total, I think cody is the most “unchanged” character in AE doesnt he? -well along with viper I guess.
a thing we could collect is AE match videos of all kinds. that would help to get a better picture. so far, every movie I’ve seen cody gets kinda bodied xD
I actually went on the night of the 23rd.
It was hella people there and a long wait between turns. I also didn’t know they had a 5 win limit. I played 4 times and they closed down at 1:30am. I’m gonna go again and also try to record some matches on my digital camera. Gotta get used to the stick as I’m a pad player.
I think I remember playing you that night. Wake-up ultras are no bueno buddy.
What happens at 1:19 is that the Cody player tried to do standing MP at close range, not towards MP. When the opposing character isn’t close Cody extends his arm in a different animation. Towards MP hasn’t changed from the videos I’ve seen. It’s still a good move to keep him in and use for block strings, that being said, barely anyone has touched Cody since AE came out.
Does crack kick still have no airborne properties? Not a fan of getting thrown out of it

As a note to the list of changes, I think U2 should be QCB + KKK instead of PPP… can’t say how many times that it came out EX Criminal Upper -_-’
the only thing that frequently happens to me is that I grab the knife instead of u2. that shit is so annoying and costed me more then a pair of rounds… with AE he’ll pick it up even further… that’s a nerf not a buff! xD

I think I might be too fast with my punches sometimes. but dunno, i think the game simply wants me to style on my opponent and makes me “GRABBIN THAT KNIFE AND SLICE 'EM B!TCH!” lol
