Akuma still has sHK->sLP->cHK…he still has vortex…tall characters will be fucked…Sagat especially…1000 life…no more trades into ultra…dmg nerf…I honestly think akuma sagat will be 6-4 akuma minimum…
also watch the t. Hawk vs akuma match…it seems like akuma doesn’t bleed as hard…he still takes helllla dmg from fierce command grabs but look at the dmg from the normals…I remember trading a fsHP with gief’s sMP and LOOSING that trade percentage wise…are we looking at a health buff (please god no) or are we lookin at everyone just does less dmg…
Anyways I really want to know what of Akuma’s moves (if any) have wall bounce characteristics…and if he got his target combo (mp-hp) I’ve watched all the new vids and no-one skilled has shown us whats up yet…
personally…I think hakan will be bad for akuma…free slide on tele and for air fb’s along with no dive kicks because of his trap ultra…his jump is low and short which means easy ways to get around normal fb’s and his dmg output (at least while oiled up lol is insane)…

Akuma is going to be great in this game, but not too good. The loss of the ability to start high damage combos with FADC fireball will hurt a little, but once we all adjust to that we’ll be a bunch of JR Rodriguez’s just Super Demoning the shit out of everyone. Hell, we should really be using Super all the time and leaving FADC out of our combos (except cMK xx FB -> FADC -> sHK ->BNB of course) in regular SF4 because it’s a much more efficient use of meter as it is, assuming you aren’t FADCing out of bad SRKs…
I third that bro!!! He’s still gonna be top tier and I’m licking this version of Akuma more and more in SSFIV than in SFIV. The hk lp loop doesn’t bother me one bit and now his U2 is combo able…I’m happy

I am so goddamn happy, Akuma is going to be kickass like always, Ryu can’t trade hit into ultra, srk fadc does way less damage, Messiah Kick is weakened, EX SS does the right amount of damage, Sagat will do less damage and has less health, and Akuma is alright.
Usually no. The FADC fireball is generally Akuma’s hardest punish. Something like HP > Fireball > FADC > HP > BnB does 400+ damage. I’ll have to check the exact numbers
If Akuma is just as hard to play that won’t happen much. Akuma was already in the top tier, but not a lot of the average players used him because what makes him good is actually hard as hell to do. Compared to Ryu or Sagat where they get free Ultra’s all over the place, Akuma has to work for each and every bit of health.
Pretty much. I’m sure there have been quite a few people who gave Akuma a try then just quit. Dudley is going to get all the attention, he’s been hyped like crazy all around the web by fans. I’m going to spend a lot of time learning this matchup, so I can give Dudley players a matchup to complain about :devil:
Well, there are a lot of points to it, but I’m assuming stun will be scaled as well.
My favorite use for FADC fireball is to hit confirm the cMK poke into BNB against chars that duck under the second hit of fsHK. If you start getting scaled more after any FADC then that combo is totally nerfed… but that’s ok I’m not complaining because everyone else suffers from this change in mechanics too.
