So before AE dropped I remember hearing a lot of speculation about ST getting invul. frames. I believe i even read somewhere that this had been the case in the loc test. Now that AE is here, that obviously is not the case. Anybody know ( or care to speculate) if these rumors were indeed true, and if Capcom pulled back at the last second and left ST as the joke of an AA it is? I remember being as happy as a fly on shit when I first read it, only to find out it didnt happen. So was this really gonna happen or was it just a bunch of hype? And do you guys think it should happen in AE’s future update? I’m sure you already know my vote. I still firmly believe that ALL versions of ST should have some invincibility, on the grounds that the move, by design, is an AA, and should have great wakeup possibilities. But i can already hear the outcry, so I’ve come to what I think is a reasonable approach.
Invul. frames on EX ST. (not ground-breaking or original, i know)
I know that im beating a dead horse here but i fill like this is one thing that seperates Vega from all the other dominating cast members. He is soooo close to being great in this game it drives me mad.I say give him invul. frames on ST , but only on EX so he couldn’t just cr.mp all game and then ST a jump in. Invincibility on EX St means you have a limited wakeup game, forcing you to still use your pokes and speed to actually gain meter for your AA. To me, this sounds reasonable. Give us BACK Scarlet Terror. Especially with 4 new cast members, two of whom can dive-kick. I say again, if Chun-Li gets to have a wakeup AA along with her array of God-like pokes, we should get one too. I dont want special treatment for Vega, just equal.
to my knowledge the people spreading rumors about ST having i frames were paople that didnt even use vega, and therefore didnt know jack shit about what they were talking about. no loc test ever had ST with i frames from what i remember. that rumor was in the same one that said EX SHC no longer goes thru opponents, which also was not true.
I’m holding the new Arcadia Guide in my hands including the first hitbox data of ST ever. No wonder this move is that bad as reversal, no invul frames whatsoever and at start up the hitbox is really only at his feet with the hitable box sticking out vertically… Maybe I will do some scans, we’ll see…

Scarlet terror hitboxes and clawless hitbox data is what we need, Izuna range buff was already confirmed.
i don’t know if this is new or even whether or not it was a glitch but i was playing online and a vega absorbed an attack as if he were doing a focus attack, but he was doing his 02 taunt at the time.
thats focus cancel into taunt… not new.
how do you do it? i thought only gen could do that
gen has the fa cancel into stance change, different thing(im not sure if he still has it tho).
fa cancel into taunt can be done by everyone. i think basically you cancel the earliest frame of the fa into taunt, similar to armor cancelling.
have to be done really quick, kinda like plinking mp+mk ~ hp+hk…
no practical use.

And according to the hitbox pictures in the guide, no, the hitboxes on the grab from FBA look exactly like the ones I uploaded for Super.

Sorry, there are no clawless hitboxes available, the guide only includes one picture per normal and 2 per special (and the images are not really big). You can check the Yang forums for an example, Alioune posted a link to the Yang data included in the guide…

And only 2 pics and 1 per normal eh? I wonder how ppl got hitbox data in the first place? it would be nice to get refreshed, legit hitbox info on AE.
The Super data was from a special dev version for a guide where you could turn on the hitboxes (for frame data), which got “abused” and the videos leeked, that’s why some moves are missing…
My guess is that Arcadia got also got some special version for AE or the images are directly from Capcom. There are no hacks available to enable hitbox mode, not even for PC SF4 or AE. It has to be an official source, otherwise Arcadia couldn’t sell the guide.
