How can you “get used” to a 66/33 mixup in Yuns/Yangs favor?
I got used to Honda, Bison and Rufus. So I can’t exactly define how, but I will. All down to keep trying every method while I’m playing. I played a hour long set against a friend of mine the other day, he’s a complete beast with Yun. I must’ve gone something like 8-2 (me being on the losing end), but I felt like I learned an absolute fuck tonne compared to what I knew before.
I know the Yun match really well with Vega. Just a matter of hitting training mode and playing a shedload of decent - high level Yun’s.
Sadly I no longer play Vega.
Am I crazy or are you always posting about how you no longer use Vega?
/I don’t mind being crazy
probably crazy dawg
although I do bitch and complain about not using Vega more than I should probably.
Agree to agree ^___^
at least he’s not complaining about the current non-vega character he’s using in these forums
Any new development on that new wake up option for Claw that will let Kens lp Shoryuken look like Vegas ST? Jega?
Do you not play Vega anymore due to his obvious weaknesses or don’t you play him because your losing points in Ranked? Either way if you enjoy a character then stick with it, I know it’s frustrating everyone here knows that. I’m no Pro but I can honestly tell you that you learn more from losing then you do from winning. I know you can’t learn anything from scrubs online, and that is certainly annoying especially if you lose against a Ryu or Ken that’s displayed the same tactics you’ve seen thousands of times already. But try take comfort in the fact that your trying to master a difficult character where as those people just enjoy the easy effortless option. Because where as your getting better, all those guys stay the same.
Personally I’ve had times, (even recently) when I’ve just wanted to call it a day. Simply just take a break whenever you feel as though it’s getting you down then come back with a renewed vigor. Think about it. The reason why there’s so many tier whores is because you can bet most those people tried using the less obvious characters and failed. Don’t be one of those people.
lol @ playing ranked seriously , Once school ended for me I decided to step up and go to tournaments and play a bevy of good players.
There’s no point wanting to do well in tournaments but sacrificing that for picking a character you like unless you’re some sort of deity. I am not a deity, therefore I had to make the switch. There are loads of characters similar to Vega on the surface (Cammy , Bison , Adon to name a few) that give you scope to enjoy playing the character but also have a decent chance of success at tournament level. A friend of mine put it well:
“The problem with Vega is that he’s too balanced. With all the shit that goes on in this game , he hasn’t got anything that makes him stand out”.

Makes perfect sense, if you go to a tourney to win the race you ride a horse that has a reasonable chance to win.
Or you go there see how far you can push the horse you like to ride.
Depends which challenge you are after. Both are legit. I wish you success.
i go to tournaments because i dont have to deal with the combonation of online crap play and lagfest 2k11
I wasn’t exactly referring to offline tourneys exclusively.
Ajunta you live in PR?
PR as Pacific Rim ?
If so only a month or so per year when I am in South Korea.
Still haven’t tested it extensively enough yet. Got some real life shit right now…
Did EX FBA get nerfed in AE? I’ve read yes and no, and I need some clarity. Damage looks overall weaker but it seems that the body slam part still does awesome damage. Is it the first hit up that has been nerfed? Or not at all?
I don’t think it’s any different. It can still cross up every character on launch as a meaty, and I’m doing a fuck ton of research on finding the best way to do it on a lot of the cast. The number of matchups where you have some leniency in landing it is a bit higher than you might expect.
If I was going to guess about the hitbox of a normal move being changed, I’d put a very speculative $1 bet on far.st.MK having a slightly smaller hurtbox from above. I might just be imagining things though.
On the hitbox I too did not noticed any changes. On damage: the upway hit now does 30 instead of 50 damage. Claw Strike or Izuna are still the same.
I knew it!
