Cl.HK is also a good meaty option against Rose. Beats all of Rose’s escape and reversal options save for Ultra 1.
What kind of followups can you get if you stuff an EX soul spiral with cl.hk on Rose’s wakeup? I’m assuming you can get an hp srk, but I have seen some Ryus sweep after a cl.hk as well. Does it need to be counterhit for a sweep to combo after a cl.hk?
Assuming Ryu is still in range after the counterhit, yes he can combo into sweep. Cl.HK is +4 on hit, +7 on CH. Easy 3f link.
Safe jump with OS c.mk vs Fei long seem interesting.
-block reversal dragon ( you have to do you os c.mk kind of slow same timing than os c.hk)
-block ultra 1
-some dammage vs backdash
-Chickwing whiff and youre in time to punish.
Compare to os c.hk you gain on chickwing wing reversal but lose a little on backdash.
Ive learn today that after a Solar Plexus you can link c.mp , st.mp xx tatsu vs FeiLong

can you OS a tatsu inside the C.MK OS? With correct timing youd surely be able to cancel the C.MK on hit VS backdash into tatsu for extra damage while avoiding the whiff OS window so you dont get caught VS chickenwing, right? I might be wrong here . . .

Another interesting Os vs Fei long is cl.hk you can get a conter-hit vs all his chikwing wing ( even ex) and possibly link to c.hk at least.
Problem is you lose against Dragon Flame reversal. If you do os cl.hk slower you can bait Dragon Flame but I think you get a conter hit
only vs Ex chikwing wing but lose to lk chikwing. Still searching for the best OS vs Fei not sure its c.hk.

Hey guys what setups do you use after doing a combo ending with ex tatsu?
I am assuming you mean a combo with EX tatsu mid screen,I usually just throw a meaty fireball in that situation.If you mean in the corner just juggle with MP SRK or Ultra and mix-up after that with like throw/frame trap or you could do a meaty or strings into throw/frame trap to mix it up even more.
thing is i find that if its not in the corner, ryu cant dash in time to do any meaty setups(bar fireball), or even tatsu across to do anything useful.

Not that I am aware of,I really don’t use EX tatsu mid screen very often.You are probably better off going for something like HK Tatsu to gain screen space and push them to the corner.

looks like after the HK tatsu, you can meaty cMP and other stuff
It sometimes changes on the matchup.You can go for throw/frame trap of course.You can do meaty short or MP into throw/frame trap.You can also do a balls out DP or EX tatsu to catch them pressing buttons.That is all off of HK tatsu mind you,the strength of Tatsu changes spacing.If you do MK you will end up around max c.MK distance so you can meaty that,or walk up throw ect…Also you could walk up like you are going to do something then back up,see if they press a button because they expected you to walk up then whiff punish it.A LK tatsu lets you do a meaty jab fireball so you can adjust your spacing while they are locked down.

Anyone use Ryus far B+HP (the straight horizontal ground punch) besides hitting giefs body splash ? It seems a good move but I cant find much use for it.
I use it against Boxer jump in and vs Jagar kick of Adon. Ive seen Daigo use it meaty on wake up. I think its mostly useful vs jump in at
a certain range in certain condition. My impression is its kind of a St.hk but with a different kind of spacing.
What’s the best anti air when Bison jumps cross up at you. Bison has a very far reaching and floating jump and he’ll just jump crossup mk and my mp srk whiffs everytime.
