Honest version: No idea, I don’t even know how to play this game, guys?

BS version: I suggest you give it a little more time before you pass judgment on Fei Long in Arcade Edition. Yes, he received a lot of buffs, but the impact is somewhat severely overstated here.
Character strength is also less about individual tweaks than it is about how those affect overall matchups and viability.
Like everyone in AE, he has changes, and he will have some easy matches, but all the talk about “owerpowered” and “best character in the game” seems way, way off the mark. Give it a little time…

Wow. I’ve met Seth in person and had him sign my stick. And I still want to punch him in the face. I mean that’s just flatout lying. I remember a friend trying to tell me the same thing about the Haneyama match against Chun and I laughed my ass off.

I saw his full post linked on EH and just got really mad lol… this shit in particualar.

I laughed when I read that.

He mentions you can’t do cannon strike then he says she can still cannon SPIKE low to the ground.

What does he mean lost the cannon strike?

I still can’t understand why rufus gets away with this, he also essentially has the most “overpowered” move in this game too.

But really, is there somewhere we can complain about this to the developers of the game directly or whoever has an impact on the final outcome of the game?

I would really like to state my dissatisfaction with this character alteration and the fact that being the avid SF fan that I am I will NOT purchase or endorse this AE whatsoever unless they make the necessary changes to Cammy.

Eliminating TKCS or even a 2/3 jump arc CS is NOT ACCEPTABLE. I’d rather them just remove her from the roster and give us fans a middle finger rather that try and BS us and “explain” their laziness/blatant disdain for Cammy and try and pass it off as some sort of buff or character improvement. When its all said and done, they are screwing cammy as a character in the SFIV series and the fans that support the series who play her.

I agree she NEEDS and overhead if they are going to going to implement a height restriction…why not make the cannon strike an overhead? That would be adequate compensation for the height restriction in my opinion, but to do NOTHING but simply nerf her over and over again until she is stripped of all her tools is simply unacceptable.

I don’t suppose anyone has tested fierce kara throw yet?

This is what happens when you drink too much beer.

LOL @ Seth comments. I was at work while reading it and I was like OMGGGGGGG I was almost screaming it! I am sure Seth don’t even play this game (or at least Cammy lol)… He hasn’t done any homework at all. I’m speechless…

I really hope he will apologize for giving such a stupid answer. And acting smart by telling people that Sako thinks she is still the same is ridiculous. Wtf… Btw wasn’t he doing TK strikes all the time in the match against Haneyama? I am sure he did. I met Seth during the TGS2010 and I really thought he was such a nice guy and I still believe he is but yeah I am disappointed in his answer. Even Miss USA delegates can do better in q&a than him.

I’m waiting what he will tell us again… “Gomen ne?”???

LOL! Thanks for the laugh

To be fair to Seth, Justin Wong said the exact same thing. He played Cammy in Japan at the location test and said the height restriction wasn’t noticeable by that much. He could Jump and do Dive Kick code immediately and it would always work.

When he played at Round 1, I asked him if it was different and he said it wasn’t that bad at ALL in Japan. So somewhere between location tests (around the time Seth made many of those comments) and the time of actual release, Capcom saw fit to make it even worse for Cammy. So Seth was probably spot on with his comments during the times that he said it.

Edit: Oh, I didn’t realize these were very recent comments. I hadn’t seen them until just now. Okay, nevermind what I said, then.

Why wouldn’t people believe Seth? He’s CAPCOM’s resident spin-doctor…

Goddamnit, Seth apparently was responding to my post that someone took from here and re-pasted into Capcom-Unity.

ahem

Would have been nice if someone asked me for permission to do that first.

Although I still think Cammy is gonna be mid to low tier, an emotional outburst like mine from the first time I really sat down with her should not be taken for gospel. I’m not very happy about that.

I mean, you’ve already seen that I don’t think she’s gonna suck once I’ve calmed down and relaxed a bit. She’ll be playable, but very different than what we know.

Seth’s comments that you could still do everything Sako did in that Finals match are so frustrating. Did we watch the same match?

It seems to me that Sako isn’t playing Cammy in Arcade because he doesn’t want to mess up his Super game. That should be a given.

Then it also seems apparent that Seth didn’t play Cammy in the very last Arcade build. He’s not lying, he simply doesn’t know. Or he might even be playing another in-house build that will patch current Arcade machines and be the actual DLC.

We can dream, can’t we? If they left out TKCS and lowered the height restriction on cannon strike i don’t think any of us would be complaining.

Also, I wonder if this response by S-Kill has anything to do with my Why Does Cammy Hate Capcom? thread on Capcom-Unity lol

If capcom’s community manager doesnt know , who knows , maybe its actually still there , but ull have to unlock it with a time code, or maybe hes publicly being ignorant … or maybe he s just not allowed to be anything but consensual and ppl should not really take into account these declarations …

THE TRUTH!!!

(crosses fingers capcom reads this)

I was under the impression that cannon strike could be done around chest level… I would have been happy with that. Even if they made it a move that built no meter. lol even on hit no meter.

Whatever, I’ll focus on school and come back to fighters another time.
