Quite a bit off a late reply, but as i might of said before, i constantly get fucked up by the states best Sak. It’s so frustrating to the point that idk to pick akuma or Oni in this match.
Here are my rants that i hope anyone here can shed some light on:

  • Too Often than not, DFK gets stuffed out by st. fierce.

  • If she has U2, you better fuckin safejump your KD or you’re fucked. Consider it fucking Blanka’s up U2. Fuck it.

  • Is there such a thing as consistent AAing? yeah we have options, but j.hp beats out like every fucking AA normal i have.

  • Her throw range is too unfair, I swear to god this guy just does his stupid 3-frame (for some broken reason since no other character in the whole fucking game has a 3 frame stand jab) stand jab pressure and mix in with a throw game that has more range than akuma’s Kara throw. no joke.

  • It’s ridiculous that her c.HP and cl.Hp come out in 3 frames.

  • her tatsu’s have every property being safe, armor breaking, and having as much priority as say idk…Bison headstomp.

  • The fact that there’s no footage of Tokido or Infiltration beating a GOOD sakura player in AE 2012 on youtube…not fair :frowning: (Also can’t find Blanka vids either wtf?)

  • The Idea that she’s a schoolgirl tomboy cunt who decided to leave all her friends and school to become a fighter and that weak persona she has fucks up that of a near Transcended MASTER OF THE FIST???..bitch.

Seriosuly, there has to be some god given idea of matchup playstyle that makes this playable. If I offended anyone for being sarcastic and stupid, i do apologize.

  • U2 AA has 8 frames of startup, unless you’re doing DF dive kick setups it’s piss easy to safejump, it’s like safejumping Rog’s jab headbutt.

  • Her normal throw range isn’t even close to the best, hell based on this chart even Akuma’s normal throw has better range: http://www.eventhubs.com/guides/2010/nov/09/super-street-fighter-4-throw-range-comparison-chart/ , I have no idea if she has Kara throws though, I very much doubt it would be better than Akuma’s even if she has one.

  • Akuma’s far standing jab is a 3f normal, many characters in this game got 3f standing jabs whether close or far like Cammy or Chun. The hitbox on Sakura’s jab is great for pressure though.

  • Her crouching fierce is a 4 frame normal.

Yeah I couldn’t help much, but at least trying to tone down how much broken you think she is.

Doesn’t Sakura loose to DF palm setups? Also, after fwd throw in the corner, immediate dash back, HK DF Peak Dive kick fucks her shit up. It hits cross up but it has to be blocked normal and it makes all her reversals whiff (including U2).

The problem with Sakura I have is when she gets in and starts her frame traps and endless tatsu laden block strings. Pisses me right off… :arazz:

Sakura is retarded, but not for the reasons you listed. Those you can get around,

must’ve been a bad night

DF palm Sakura all day long , front and behind , and mix around with back throw or meaty Tokido’s st.hp/cr.lp after land . Once in a while , you can caught her with DF dive kick if she’s expecting that . In MBR thread , it seems like he’s tormenting the Sakura LOL youtube.com/watch?v=jr44n0NWuBo&t=34m25s . Jump back air hado , walk front st.HP all day long .

Now against Ryu , do you actually able to react on Hado startup and jump ? I find lp hado really frustated to be dealt with , they pushes me to corner most of the time . I can’t FADC hado punish that well , all I can do ATM is read cr.mk xx hado then dashes thru that hado and throw .

Oh , and that throw > st.HK immediately df palm setup , I can’t seem to beat Ryu 3f dp at all . Is it just a gimmick ?

What makes Sakura so bloody annoying is

  1. Long combos off tiny confirms.
  2. Long combos ending with unblockable set ups
  3. Air normals that are freaking annoying

How do I fight against Bison? I don’t see it on the front page or I may be mistaken?

Get the knockdown and pressure Bison on wakeup using safe jump setups backed by O/S choices that nullify most of his options. MK Tatsu O/S seems to be the best choice as it punishes backdash and tp, makes ex stomp whiff but looses to ex SK.

That head stomp jump is freacking unbelievable. So slow yet you can’t beat it by jumping hp against it. No matter the height you are his feets always connect before you touch him. I hate that move. I have to just let him land on me and try a focus on the follow up but I’m looking for other options.

If you’re not in the corner you can walk back and punish the shit out of it, also neutral jump hp & hk work wonders once you get the timing down, front jumping attacks lose to it very often though. It’s also better to punish the headstomp follow up with a cr.mk combo that lowers your hurtbox and catches his recovery, good Bisons will fuck you up for focusing much after headstomp (ex follow up, or they can land behind you and make your focus whiff for a punish).

lets talk dudley. Iperu been fucking me up

doesnt he play elf?

Dudley’s his secondary, he was #1 im super and its his second. Idk what to do.

I haven’t played many good Dudleys, but I sure as hell love abusing cr.mk vs Duds even without buffering stuff, I use sweep a lot less as a poke in this matchup. This is also obvious, but you seriously should look very carefully for any jump-in attempt so you’d AA it, Dudley’s aim is to just get into his frame trap game and fuck Akuma up with a single combo.

i’m just so afraid of his fierce…

Don’t be. Your buttons beat Dudley’s. If anything he has to respect your pokes.

I had an extended session at the arcade last night and got a good amount of link ups against a mate who runs Sydney’s finest Yun. This match-up remains Akuma’s worst by far. Yun may have been revised in 2012, but he’s still an absolute nightmare for Akuma to deal with. I persevered to see if I could figure some stuff out but the approach remains very much the same as it was in regular AE. Poor Yuns are fine, but good Yuns rip Akuma to shreds.

f.throw > fs.hk > hk flip dive kick gave me mixed results on Yun’s wake-up so I’m curious if this setup remains valid or if I was screwing it up. Anyone able to chime in here?

I use double dash early dive kick to beat or at worst trade with any upkick. You can also pressure the shit out of Yun in the corner with reverse crossups off a throw. I don’t mind the matchup. Sure it’s hard but the key is winning the footsies and simply stopping dive kicks. Stand jab mash will beat pretty much any dive kick. Sure it does shit damage but it prevents you from having to deal with that pressure.

you saw topanga B ? Eita and -6 losing hard agaisnt Momochi Dalshim 0-3 and 0-3 and a one way match for both…
Mochi is not human.
