hit me up to play some rounds sometime.

Oh man I hate to put this here but I’m desperate and have looked at the other tech threads for sticks and such but can’t post any questions there!

Real quick. I’m about to buy a MAS stick because I think they are great sticks but its been so long. Does anybody know if I want the analog stick that makes the noise and has the hard spring or do I want the Perfect 360 optical stick?

My gut tells me the analog stick because I’m used to that feel and resistance from years ago but I don’t really know.

Sorry again to post this here but all the joystick threads were closed.

please be gentle with me

I think you have your terms mixed up. The “noise” you are probably talking about is the microswitches clicking. The joystick is completely digital.

A competition stick is preferred for this game, but a Perfect 360 would probably work pretty well too. Kinda depends on whether you like charge or motion characters.

charge- comp stick
motion- P360

Hey thanks so much for the response man. I didn’t really know the difference. Unfortunately for the MAS I want its 50 dollars extra for a Perfect 360!!. Ill just stick with the comp stick.

First impressions of the game - the menus all look very cheap and nasty. Almost home made (but at least there is a command list, and those dip switches will probably keep me busy for a while). Interesting that you can access characters from Super - New Challengers (original, not ST) via the training mode, but not in arcade or versus.

Graphics - reasonable, and an improvement even in SD (except Sim stage). Sound appears not to be Dolby 5.1 as advertised… At the moment I think the music is very good, and the speech quite good (apart from “Faggot wins”!)

1P mode: 4 difficulty levels probably makes more sense than 8, and with the medium one it seems to be slightly more forgiving than arcade ST, which is probably a good thing.

Online mode: Not managed to get many matches in yet, but apart from the waiting around, there doesn’t appear to be any obvious lag.

Oh, and why change the Gief commands? :3p: (or even :2p:) worked fine for lariat. And I always found double flame super harder to do than 720s!

Having said all that, it’s probably the best game I ever downloaded, and will def be the one I play most often.
