Its a USB universal serial bus, the name of the adapter is SECTOR 7- -lol aint that some final fantasy 7 for yaa–.

I got it at EB games in toronto canada, it works on ps2 and ps3 and comp for mame. Its the best adapter i have ever owned and i am going to PWN kids with my stick online lol.

They say it only works on PC how ever that is not true! my friend also has one a we both use it to connect or sticks to run fighters on the PS3 and on MAME to play SF2 Grand Master Challenge. Good luck and hope everyone has a stick on their PS3 or expect beatings.
