Why is your 360 gamer tag an anagram of pyrestrike and not just pyrestrike??
Haha, to make a long story short… I needed a name for an omnipotent, legendary character for a fantasy story I was writing. So I took my handle pyrestrike and made it fantasy-sounding, and got Syrpiektre. I use the latter when it identifies me as a person nowadays, and pyrestrike for affiliation to my writing (e.g. my websites).
And now I know.

I thought I posted in this…apparently not. The last time I really got into a fighting game was MVC2, and even then I wasn’t particularly great just played with a few friends. I’ve been waiting for this since I’ve heard about it, which was like a year ago, which is why I never bought SF2HF on the arcade. Now I’m realizing maybe I should have haha. Super scrubby/rusty guy here, but I give it my best, and am always willing to take an ass kicking if the people I’m playing talk and are cool.
My connection has been really horrible lately so excuse me if I disconnect or lag a bunch in any games. Feel free to add me, I try to play late nights and afternoons. Gamertag is to the left.
add me on xbl, just got it…should have NEVER wasted money on the ps3 version. but be warned i cant play with the controller for shit, so alot of shit, like even 2 into ones, and wake up dp’s, or normal dp’s I just cant do. You will get thrown alot, to make up for my inablility to do moves good.
I am not a new HD scrub, as (real)ST is my favorite shit, just that the controller is complete ass. But everything is soo much better on this system, so I’ll deal.

Hello all, I didn’t see an introduce yourself thread so this one is as good as any.
Played SF2 through high school (chicks did not dig me), then got into Alpha and Alpha 2 in college. Stopped playing when most arcades went under and as a result I never got into SF3. I was quite excited when I saw the HD remix for live.

Anyway I’m just looking to get better, and I figure the best way to do this is to find a group like this one where I know I’ll find players better then myself.
