Remix isn’t the only SF with hcb,ub SPD. EX had it first.
GGs BeautifulViolence and Rugedman. We had an AWESOME Shoto battle. Rugedman’s Akuma, BeautifulViolence’s Ryu and my Ken. I luvs that shiiiiiit. Rugedman is the first good Akuma I’ve played, and I have to say that I don’t think Akuma is broken, but then again, I play Ken. But even against my Dee Jay, he’s just as hard as any other top tier character, like Vega, Dhalsim or Balrog. The reason I say that is cuz Rugedman played a good game, with skill and mind games, not just with Akuma’s AFB mixups and RD. Meh…not trying to open that shit topic up in the good games thread or anything, just my opinion.

I’m no Gief, but I always revert to the O.G. 360 myself, too.
I think the new motion is more of a psychological tool than anything else - I imagine it sets new players minds more at ease when attempting to pick up Gief’s or Hawk’s game.
I’m not exactly drooling over SF4 the way I was over Remix.

The new motion is not only easier but SPD from a crouching position is what makes it golden, which is why I use it instead of 360. I would rather do db,d,df,f,b instead of db,d,df,f,uf,u,ub,b from a crouching position. Works like a charm. Not to mention Zangief needs all the advantages he can get.
I don’t think Mrs. Dan’s Student would appreciate the texting my other girlfriend’s

Also, just a note to your crouching statement: If you’re holding df (Which is what I do when I’m doing cr.jabs/shorts) you only need to go df, d, db, b, ub + p. It was one of the changes from HDR for Gief. So in other words it’s only a half circle, BUT you have to be holding either db, or df, before going to ub/uf. IMO this is much smoother/faster than going from forward to back or vice versa.

I gotta n00b question. I’ve seen a lotta PSN players with SRK at the end of their names. Are they SRK board members as well or is it some sort of clan for SF2T? I ran into “shooSRK” and (I it’s think the same) “bokchoyken” from the boards here in ranked games. That Bokchoyken played a very scary aggro Dhalsim. I’ve never been dizzied by a Dhalsim…EVER! lol I had to digg in deep for the win on that one.
