Reversal srk or srk equivalent/super is the only way i know of but it’s soooo hard so i get thrown every time.:sad:

I’m pretty sure the best thing to do is reversal SPD

You make it pretty scary to get close as it is, reversals are a bit harder on this due to the slight lag.

Ah no don’t worry about it.STHD is my first real experience with ST as a whole.I messed with it before but took no pains as far is learning a main and any advice is welcome.

• Most of the time after I lariat’d you and you were landed a distance where I couldn’t crossup you, you would almost always jump back. This made you a little predictable and that’s why I got some j.strongs out on you. However, there was one time you jumped back, and immediately did a j.forward or j.roundhouse, and it hit me before I could j.strong. Probably something you want to experiment with!

Obviously I just try and get away.but even still having trouble finding means to do so in this match up I’ve been trying to get some ways of this to work including jumpback SBK and like you said jumpback j.forward.It’s something i know i need to work on.

• I noticed on a couple of games towards the end, you got real aggressive. Aggressive is good, but never stand within SPD range of Gief while he is getting up, unless you plan to jump at the last moment. I’ll almost always reversal SPD you.

I always go for the meaty even on shotos on wakeup,trying to get myself out of that habit

• This one isn’t so much a tip, as it is just practice, but practice the timing for a reversal vertical kick (Don’t know the name of her vert kick). Chun Li has a great defensive game against Gief…which also means that when she gets cornered she’s going to get beasted unless she can reversal something when I jump in.

I’ve given up trying to get upkicks to come out online.It seems like whenever i need it in the clutch it never comes though.So i’ve been trying alternatives like walljump stomp or air SBK.

we both know how well that worked.

BTW I’ve never been thrown that much by a Chun Li Mad timing bro.

lol thanks.Fortunately they didn’t change up the dmg on her MP throw it seems from og ST so i like to go to it often.Problem is getting in throw range of zangief I did a double take when i threw thru your lariat once though.Wish i was that lucky all the time :looney:

I have the unfortunate habit of making reversals out of trouble far too integral a part of my play style for me to even play Chun too seriously online.

Greench eats a cornered Chun for free, and, with the HDR input, probably one-handed too.

Chun feels like fighting Dhalsim lately…if I can get in on her, it’s a free sexual assault But if I’m kept away it’s really difficult.

ANYWAYS not that I took the bolded statement as an insult, but how many of you guys think that Gief mains (Particularly ones that have been playing old ST like myself for a long time) use the new SPD command? I’m asking because I hear a LOT of people mention that command, and in reality myself, and I’m extremely confident to say, OTHER Gief mains, never ever use the new command because ironically it’s easier/faster/SMOOTHER to do a 360 than a half circle forward/back.

GG’s to you too. I play a handful of characters, probably hurts me in the long run, but whatever. Yeah it didn’t let me join back up with you. Game is buggy as shit, a patch will be nice. Right now, if I’m not in a room with friends, I just play quick match ranked. Works most of the time. I lose a fair amount experimenting with other characters, but luckily I could care less about my rank.
