I gave up on online ranking after 1 day of beating random people – figure rankings are pretty worthless anyway since there’s a lot more value in just playing good people for the sake of improving, not for a record. Only faced 1 guy who seemed to know some good shit in 100 matches

edit: plus disconnects can completely fuck up your rank when you only have a few losses.

I’ll get at some people next week online again. I’ll see if you’re around Monday night, Larry.

There’s a bug in ranking. There’s someone with 1138 wins and 300 losses and he’s got 0 rank among others. I’ll be posting a bug about this tonight with screenshots.

No offense to PS3 Players since I play on it also, but the comp is severely lacking for PS3 compared to 360. I think a lot of it is the pure amounts of players that can NOT play ST (about 85% of people playing) compared to the ones that can, and the correlation to those 15% actually being on at any given time in ranked matches.

I have no doubt about that statement due to the bigger and better capcom community already being on 360! I don’t have the money to buy another system, buy the game again, and a new stick! I already have 4 joysticks and all of them are ps2 sticks. The sf4 special edition stick will be the last one I will buy! SF4 will prolly be the last game I compete in imho. I’m getting to old for this shit imo and in a few year I maybe brunt the fuck out!

I only bother with ranked matches if i want to sneak in some quick matches here and there.

Noticing alot more hondas, blankas, and fei longs. it seems that new players are expanding their palette a bit which is good.

Also, forgot to add, about this Honda mess, Honda was ALWAYS strong. He regularly beats up on every character non shoto unless you know the matchups from the original ST. He basically is “scrubby” in the sense that you need to know the matchups in order to beat him, if not, he is your classic counter character.

Again, I really think people losing to him is just the fact that people don’t know matchups, so it’s assumed he is “top” tier, which is hilarious. He has better matchups and worse matchups depending on how you look at it. At least his Super actually works now.
