SSF2 Fuddruckers Edition!

It ain’t a real tournament until there’s Jackie Chan on the side

Just saying

I will livestream jackie chan top 8. this is a promise.

What are the gameplay issues?

There wasn’t a problem at the last Fuddrucker’s, only that there wasn’t enough PS3s for SFIV compared to the players who had PS3 sticks.

I hate you Jackie Chan lovers. I hope you all rot.

Wait what? Top 8? Jackie? Streamed? I’m so there.

There needs to be more weekly sessions of that game =/

Buncha fools gonna get caught sticking their hands in the preverbial garbage disposal.

I’ll probably enter that SF4 side tourney or whatever it is.

@Magnus02: Let me rot inside you. (oh so homo)

i agree. <3

Here is one qoute from David Sirlin-NCR under Tournaments and events
http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=209845&page=7R thread page 7-

Sirlin couldn’t have said it better…that evidence coming from the SSF2T game revision’s actual co creator alone should be enough for the justification of the transfer of standard to being on Xbox 360. In addition I would like to ad that Hori Ex2 with 6 button layout is what the majority is used to unlike the P3 sticks (who would want to have to go invest money in another stick anyway?).

Forgive me if I’m wrong… but everything he mentioned doesn’t say anything about actual GAMEPLAY difference… I could be wrong…

also this :

…only 3xP/3xK button mappers and one button tap users play on PS3…

BA BOOM PSSSHHHHHHTTTTTT!!!

Fuck ruckers. They shouldn’t get our business anymore after cooking us to death last time. Just saying.

Pre-threatening to not show up. Down for ST though.

fudd… this sounds dope.

I agree that the online play, XBL is more stable but in local play, the only downside I’ve seen is button mapping configuration, it tends to eff up once in a while but that can easily be fixed by testing buttons pre-match. Other than that, I have played both extensively, there is no difference during in-person matches. I have TE sticks, Happ sticks, and custom sticks that I’ve built and they both work on both machines. I mean I haven’t heard any complaints from top 8 EVO competitors, and if 360 players can make it up there just fine on PS3 formats at EVO, then the rest could as well.

Fine, Will there be extra sticks available with a 6 button layout for ps3? 8 way or square gate

Um…Can I get in on this? If it’s late January, please let me know ASAP.

Plenty other sticks have come out after that mediocre stick. FYI the latest standard is the TE joystick. Sure, bringing multiple sticks to any tourney sucks ass… but if you haven’t seen the trend, many players are dual modding their sticks to work on both/multiple platforms. You can’t control what system a tournament host is going to use for their event, so it’s your responsibility to be prepared.

I personally like playing on the X360. This is my preference. But again, it’s up to what the tournament host can provide and decides what to use. While it’s true that the PS3 has issues during setup screens, both are pretty much identical gameplay-wise. I hope someone proves me wrong so we can figure out a standard.

The Fuddrucker’s Tourneys have all been local tourneys run with the help of the Fighting Game Community. As it is, most likely any equipment brought will be supplied from the community, homeboys like you and me. With that into consideration, homeboys like you and me will have to bring our own sticks.

You’re (probably) going to be in luck, tho. Most (some?) guys are kind enough to loan you a stick for a game or two if you can’t bring one of your own for the system you need to play on, if you’re nice enough. However, tournament rules are often times BYOS (Bring Your Own Stick) and the Fuddrucker’s Tourneys have been no exception.

One suck-ass situation that I would hate for you to be in is if you and your opponent couldn’t agree which system to play on, and it would come to a coin flip. When shit goes down, and the tourney official needs to move on with brackets, some days a DQ is in order.

No. You can’t. You need to come to the local HDR gatherings, hang out with other members of the community and spit Street Fighter strategies first. :chainsaw::rock:

Yea…About that…See what had happened was I don’t know when and where you guys have these. I didn’t even know about HDR gatherings until recent. And does hanging out with Vestax for a bit @ NCR count?

Edit: I think I was hanging out with Shinobi Master too. If he was the guy who took a shot of Jack Daniels with me, then yea that’s the guy.

oooh… HDR… I might have to join in on this now. I need to brush up my Hawk. What timeframes were they before? Weekend midday? Weekday evening like munchies was? That’s kinda my dealbreaker for showing regularly.

I assume John Choi personally wants it on ps3, so thats maybe why its on ps3 and not xbox 360 just as he wanted it that way at the NCR’s.

Check the stickied fuddruckers thread for info.

And no HDR isn’t going to be on PS3 because John Choi wants it that way. He has nothing to do with running this tournament. There will most likely be ps3s and 360s available. Players choose their preference.

Jarrod don’t take this the wrong way, but sometimes you and your brother need to be more patient, thorough, and more polite. And assuming things like you did above and makes you look like an ass. I like HDR but you don’t see me posting shit in every single thread asking,“why no HDR”? And If you aren’t satisfied you need to take the initiative and try something yourself. Again, don’t take this the wrong way. Hope to see you on the 24th.
