Guys want to share what characters you’ll be using?
I’m a Falco/Marth user. Sheik too, but he tends to become really boring, really quickly.
It all depends on my opponent and the stage and all around settings.
Also, shiek is a female, you know this right? it is zelda, with her voice deepened. wouldnt make much sense that when she transforms she grows a penis.

whos got an rfu adaptor? im pretty sure you need one to hook up gamecubes to the tv at the shilo inn, if anyone has one bring it plz, no rfu adaptor, no picture, no games ;-;/

SSBM will be happening officially. It’s one of MLG’s main tournaments and since MLG is hosting the event, we’ll be having Smash there as an official tournament. Be prepared for more than friendlies/mm’s cause we’re having a tournament.
First up, if I do make it to Evo I’ll be happy to play anyone in Smash for fun or for money. Always cool playing against new people.
But appart from that I’m just posting to try and solve a little train wreak waiting to happen, stages. Smash has been having tournaments for almost 3 years now and in that time some stages have been recognized as pretty damn broken and have been banned from pretty much every tournament since. And it just so happens that some of these banned stages are being suggested as “playable stages” in this thread. I’m talking about Hyrule Temple, Termina Bay and Yoshi’s Island N64 (ok, no one mentioned that last one since appart from being broken to all hell it’s a also generally a really crappy stage) Hyrule is banned because it’s possible to run circles around a solid part of the stage. This mean that a fast character like Fox can run away from a slower character pretty much indefinitly. And even worse, he can rack damage with his blaster while running away. This isn’t simply a very good tactic, in certain character matchups it’s pretty much unbeatable and also very easy to pull of. So, Hyrule is banned. The same goes for Termina which also has a solid part of the stage you can run around. Yoshi N64 is banned because of cloud camping. I’m not trying to tell you this in a “I’ve played the game longer so I’m right” way. I’m just trying to provide a bit of an explenation before this becomes an issue as more experienced Smash players start to get involved with this.
For a more complete list of the most used rules for Smash tournaments I suggest you look up the rules MLG uses for their tournaments.

Ill be down for freidnly/money matches at evo, and ill even throw another mini tourny in the BYOC room like last year, lots of people entered, Wes and ytwojay were in it, and ppl even recorded some matches, lets get this rolling again…

Not Evo itself, the MLG, which will team up with SRK to host evo, go to them, they will host it, along with halo 2 and some other game i think.

no… Tekken 5 is the other game that MLG uses on it’s tour. he’s saying that MLG does Smash, Halo 2 and since you didn’t know the third game he’s telling you: Tekken 5. And yes, Evo’s Tekken tournament will be run by MLG’s Ranma005 (aka Chris from Texas Showdown).
