I played against Dannkk
i feel we were pretty evenly matched as we traded everyother game almost the entire time for the 7 matches we played. Dannkk had great linking abilities, and it was tough to break through his zone game. His rush downs were great, i felt the pressure and made lost of stupid mistakes.

Although his linking was good, sometimes he would misjudge the distance and shoryu rather than hadouken. this left him very vulnerable. I noticed that he had some issues with the zone game, i felt that as long as i could keep him at bay i had the advantage, which was my strategy for most of the matches as his rush down was really good.

All in all i think dannkk is a really good player, with few weaknesses.

as for me i missed plenty of links. linking is one of my weakpoints. Also there were plenty of times where i got over excited and jumped straight into shoryus multiple times. I also wanted to implement focus attacks more but then tried too often to use them and ended up getting punished. I am also too afraid to use my shoryu as an anti air/link, because i find myself confistently missing the shoryu and setting my self up for punishment beca

vs. Sniperfox

Meaty fireballs like you were throwing really aren’t a good idea. Took me to long to realize you were doing it everytime, so I only punished it once, but it’s really not a good idea. You want to find some mixups to use on wakeup. Look back at our matches at how I was making you guess as often as possible as you were getting up. If you really want to use a fireball on someone’s wakeup, make sure to use lp fireball, and make it hit them in the back on the first frame they’re up. It’s the only way it’s safe. But only do this to bait. Like you can throw hp fireballs everytime you knockdown chun li, till she gets ultra. Then use the meaty lp fireball to bait out her ultra.

You also threw me out of the corner a few times. Cornering your opponent gives you a huge advantage. Don’t give it up. If you’re going to do this, it’s gotta lead to more damage somehow. Only time I’d throw someone out of the corner would be to set up a crossup tatsu into super and idealy, only if that would finish them. If you’re going to give up an advantage like that, there has to be a reason for it.

Practice hit confirms. You played really safe, but I don’t think I saw you hit confirm anything. You want to train so that when you hit two jabs, you get a knockdown everytime. Everytime two jabs hit with nothing after, is lost damage and a lost mixup opportunity. The c.lp, c.lp, c.mp ss fireball should have changed to tatsu when you saw it hitting to get the knockdown.

Overall, try and think more about what you will do next. When you get a knockdown, you should already know what you’re going to do. Crossup, meaty dp xx fadc, back off, safe jump. You’ve got so many options and you want to throw a different one at them everytime they get up. You can set up situations and mixup the endings. Like when you’d block my f+hp. I started off hitting c.lp after. Then after you started doing the same to try and beat me out, I paused after and then dp’d you c.lp. After that, you’ll just want to block my dp, so I can throw you(dont think i did though, you were teching well).

havent been here in a while. does anyone wanna play?

I’m always down to improve my game so feel free to get at me.

im thinking it’ll be fri/sun but when i find out ill tell it in here but in the meantime if anyone wants some practice hit up my GT SUPER HOST right noww

Care for a friendly match?

just got beat ROYALY BY SPEKTRUM MY HANDS ARE STILL SHAKING

Any sim players here?? I need a lesson because I’m gonna use him at a tourney 2 weeks from now…

lol. cammy mirror matches are the worst. certainly if you don’t know what to expect.

i think you should just really spend time learning her bnb combos, learn the matchups and make better use of your ultra. you crumpled me twice when you can ultra and just threw me or hit me with a spiral arrow.

it’s hard to give you more tips since the matches were all pretty one sided. :x one thing that really stands out is your almost never teched my throws. you definitely need to work on that.

hit me up when you see me online again and i will play random characters. then i can analyze your gameplay better and give you more indepth advice.

I wonder how royal?

Oh man, I totally forgot to post up the review thingy from when I played Dannkk like…a few weeks back I think. FML

Vs Ryu( DannKK)
It was fun, though it seem that he didn’t rush like the other ryu’s I have played before. He took his time and to me he tried to remember what I was going to do. Though I believed he lost to my boxer and Chun but he won in the mirror match. I was hoping he could takin more advantage of Ryu’s Zoning priority with his fireballs. But his Ryu is good. (Sorry for the short rounds though)

I have yet to play against NinjaCW

i twisted my controller and the paint chipped in the middle granted i still have ALOT to lear with sf4 in general the only controller im half way decent with is the 360 standard controller and its TRAAAASH
(Example) using ryu in close quarters c.mk qcf (x2).mp should be a dp correct? instead it comes out a hadouken now either my controllers fuckin up or my finger and my thumbs are on a different page

learn*

Or it could be that the game will recognize it differently, I have done Hadokens instead of DP and I am on an arcade stick.

good to see im not the only 1 with the problem i’d like to hear some stories form anyone who converted from 360 controller to arcade stick was it good bad how was the learning curve and how would some1 like to donate an arcade stick to me (looks around room)

Sorry, man, I should have posted when I remembered our matches better. About all that I remember is that the rounds I took off your chun were first rounds. I surprised you by rushing you down right as the fight started. The only reason I can get away with that is because you don’t have meter yet. Try and build that first meter quicker.

You pretty much nailed my game, though. I used to think I was good at zoning/footsies, but I’ve either not improved since then or everyone has gotten better at avoiding it. My whole game is really just mixups. I knock someone down and make them guess/react on wakeup. Starting to see that my wins aren’t really from fundementals or anything…just get people to guess wrong enough and they lose. When I come across a good Sagat or someone that I can’t knock down, I get raped.

Guys I am still around but my PC at home is still fried.

Hit me up for some games. I play a decent Gen. location: Southeast USa

I transitioned from a controller (ps3 and 360) to a stick. It was the pretty bad at first. You’re so limited at first because your execution becomes trash while your mind games and knowledge of the game is still there. I was usually frustrated with anti-air. I saw the jump ins, but I couldn’t DP.

I’d donate a stick, but the ones I don’t use are broken :stuck_out_tongue: - you should make it to the local gatherings more. I see you’re from MA, there’s stuff going around all around you!

yea theres supose to be a tourny at anime boston this april so im gearing up for that ill prolly record it and bring it here and i heard of another in conneticut if you know of anything else goin on in MA post it up
