Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me, I’m having a ton of trouble with this hado ult in air after a tatsu. Everytime I tatsu and go into the ult, they just fall to the ground, i’ve seen people do it before though. what’s the proper timing for that kind of thing?
s.[:l::h::f:+:h: xx :d::db:+:atk: (varies depending on distance to wall) xx :d::d:+:atk::atk:, wavedash up (could be one or two wavedashes, depending on distance) :h::f:+:h: xx :qcb:+:l: -> :h::f:+:h: xx :d::db:+:l: xx :qcb:+:atk::atk: (mash)]
Does about 781k. Pretty basic.
Should work anywhere on the screen.
I can get up to the point where I need to do the tatsu in the air but after that I’m having tough timing to get in the input for shinku. do I need to do it close to the end?
Ha! That’s actually my exact BNB also. Good stuff. When you do the tatsu, just keep in mind it needs to hit FIVE times. So count 1,2,3, 4,5 Shinku Hadouken. You should time it so the hyper activates immediately after the 5th hit.
Just like I mentioned above to QueenBBB. Remember it works best if tatsu hits all 5 times, then hit the hyper immediately after. Time it to come out right after the 5th hit and you’ll never miss again.
Is there a consistent technique to reach and juggle the opponent after the wall bounce Jodan kick H? Plink dashing? Wave Dashing? Buffering inputs?
I can’t seem to do it consistently. It’s easier with Denjin mode, but even then I can’t do it 100%. I’d be interested to know what technique other people use… or if theres some input trick to make it easier. Watching ChrisG, RayRay etc - they seem to have HEAPS of time after a full screen kick. At best I’m only just catching them with a crouching M.
I dunno if anyone’s ever noticed, but for the hell of it I tried using :h: Joudan when I was right up against the corner anyway, and you can actually follow up like this: :h: :f::h: xx :qcb: :l: :h: :f::h::s: etc. Basically the kind of thing they make you use Hadou Kakusei to be able to do if you’re in the corner and use :l: Joudan in Mission Mode, but this time it’s meter-free. The first chain before the tatsu will move you away from the corner, but after the tatsu you switch sides and end up going back towards it. Overall, this adds a nice amount of extra damage to Ryu’s corner combos. It’s worth nothing, though, that you need a sort of specific timing that seems to vary on characters in order for it to work. It seemed like (I tested it on about 9 characters of varying sizes) it’s easiest on mid-size people like Iron Fist or Ryu himself, and it seemed harder on the shorties and giants. It also appeared to be EXTRA difficult on Sentinel, and impossible on Rocket Raccoon.
So here’s a nice level 3 combo I’ve been practicing with my main team.
c.L, c.M, H, Mag Hyper Grav Assist, QCB+L, L, M, H, reverse dp+L, L, M, H, S, j.L, j.M, j,H, j.S, Wesker Gun OTG assist, Shin Shoryuken.
If done right, it does 850k+ without X-Factor, with Level 1 X-Factor, it just barely hits under 1.3 Million.
I’m looking for a good combo that follows up from c.M, since it’s a great footsies poke. The best I’ve found is c.M -> any variation of Donkey Kick, and then follow up with a basic combo from there.
Has anyone got any other suggestions?
landed 4 Shinkuu Hadoukens with Ryu/Drones without xfactor.

I’ll probably never use this because I don’t use Sentinel, but I’ll keep in mind that I can launch after a Shinkuu.
I use ryu, sent, wesker–and I will definitely use this when I have the meter to burn.
Nevflinn:
Off of cr.m you can pretty much pull off a full combo anywhere on screen. Here’s what I usually use
cr.M cr.H f.H :d: :db:+L(corner) or H(midscreen) s.M s.H f.H s.S j.M j.M j.H H Tatsu Shinku Hadoken
Does ~700k when fully mashed
Going for the first combo here as a BnB, linking 2 supers, or going for a TAC after the first one:

I can’t link the S after the first haduken super though, does anyone know how to make it work? I notice in the video that he is pointing the super down as much as possible, which brings them down a few pixels, but they are still too high during mine and flip out. Maybe the first one is unmashed? It looks like either 881k or 931k after the 2nd super, I can’t tell from the video quality.
Aside from the combos provided, has anyone developed useful resets with Ryu?
Or combos based of an air to air attack? (i.e., hitting a jumping opponent with a jumping attack and following up on it)
j.:h: > delayed j.:s: > ground series.
Pretty good on incoming characters after kills or snapbacks. Think I’ve seen rayray using this a lot.

I haven’t seen anyone use Shin Shoryuken like this.
Seems pretty good if you have the meter to burn
Anyone have advice for connecting after a donkey-kick / dash from full screen? Do you need to dash twice? Is standing H the best move to connect after the dashes? I can’t find a sure method to connect 100% of the time
