I don’t think you get it. I can’t play this kind of game. There’s too much of a human factor involved.
Whenever I play a game, it’s always something where there’s a consistent factor, thing that I can always rely on. If I perform actions in one game, those actions will always be consistent. Nothing is changing the facts, there isn’t really anything that will make me uncertain that something will work. There may be a large amount of variables, but it’s always finite, it can always be figured out. And once I figure it out, nothing gets in the way of me figuring those variables out and coming to a conclusion of what tactic will work to overcome this certain situation. The variables remain consistent, and there is always a clear solution that will lead me to my goal.
It’s why I’ll never be good at fighting games because I can’t deal with the human factor that is thrown in. I can lab, I can figure out what move beats what, what tactic will beat whatever options the opponent has, but there’s always the “human factor,” that bit of uncertainty. I can never guarantee that my opponent will or won’t do a certain tactic. As such I attempt to play in a safe style that eliminates as much of the “human factor” as possible, making that less of an issue for me and I can take a more calculated approach to things.
With a game like this, it’s all about reading your opponent and deceiving them or however you want to put it. I can’t do that. Because there’s no guarantee that I’ll be right. There’s no definite conclusion, the “facts,” or variables, constantly change. I can’t work with that. I have to have a solid base to work with, a guarantee that if I do X, Y will happen. You don’t have that with this kind of game. And if I don’t have that, I flat out can’t play it.
It’s also why I’ll never be good at Pokemon competitively, combined with the RNG there’s also that “human factor” that just completely throws me off. I can’t read people, I can’t predict what people will do, there’s too many variables involved and there’s never a definite answer to what they will do. I can’t work with that.
You’d be surprised to see how well you improve upon that aspect by playing these games. Plus, I’d say about half the regular players here know fuck all about reading people too and would do just as terribly. 
Also, don’t feel so singled out either. You aren’t the first one I’ve tried to badger into playing. RockBogart, Shaft Agent, Valaris… all people I’ve tried to get in here before.
This ain’t Major League Mafia. This isn’t even AAA Bush League Mafia.
Just throw hat in, have fun, enjoy some comraderie and don’t take it too seriously.
Leave that part to me.

It just sounds like fear of the unknown or uncertainty. Everybody has it to a degree; some are just braver than others.
Personally, I don’t care if LW plays or not, but nobody should let a mental disability get in the way of playing Mafia. It never stopped WTF-AKUMA-HAX.
This is nowhere near as big a deal as you’re making it put to be LW. You join and type some words at least once a day. Convince people that they shouldn’t kill you. You’re barely even playing at that point but it counts.
