If 3SL turns up Civ, I find it hard to believe that there would be anything I could do to avoid being lynched tomorrow. Hell, even if 3SL turns up Mafia, the suspicion would still be on me as using 3SL as a scapegoat, as you said. Either way, my suspicion is unavoidable, but I want to follow this through to its conclusion.
To answer your question of how certain I am that 3SL is Mafia, I’d stake my life on it. If we assume 3SL is Mafia for the moment, that leaves us with 2 possibilities:
I’m Civ and my reads were correct. I still probably die tomorrow from all the suspicion I’ve attracted, but I’ve hooked a Mafia and I’ve accomplished something and contributed to the game.
I’m Mafia and I threw 3SL under the bus. I still probably die tomorrow from suspicion, my plan to throw my comrade under the bus fails, and I’ve let 2 Mafia die instead of 1 by bringing 3SL up.
I suppose my argument here is to let me have the satisfaction of drawing my investigation to a conclusion before I die.
Certainly. My initial inclination was to vote for you. I thought I’d stir the pot and see if anyone roused more (than you) suspicion. I’d rather go by my own reads than those of others, since I’m the only person I can trust. But, no one else really did stick out more.
I’ve never known you to just sit back and let the game happen.
Remember when pietastic dropped those things on you then immediately half a day silenced himself? Somebody did that this game. I didn’t let him get away.
Fair enough. During Day 1, I didn’t expect that I would be expected to start the game running, so I agree with your statement here. Day 2 I’ve felt a lot of my statements and questions have been ignored, so I guess that was more of a powerless feeling than a relaxed feeling. There have been some other factors that have affected my activity (with work being the main one), but that’s not an excuse for the times that I have been free to comb through the thread. I may need to rethink my first 3 day strategy for future games, but for now, your suspicion is justifiable.
My decision isn’t final. You’re potent on either side of this game. There are some people in here I trust, but that doesn’t mean I’m right to trust them, or that they are automatically correct in their suspicions.
As long as you’ve made your decision based on evidence and not other people’s opinions, I’ll accept any conclusion you come to. I don’t expect you to trust me, but I want to make sure you consider the validity of my case against 3SL.
It really depends on how this goes down. There are games where I know the phase is bandwagoned with no stopping it and to avoid the problems being right or wrong about it, I put down a solo vote for someone I know is Mafia. Its easy to say I did that to you here having some direct communication to try to get your attention, but I’m not sure I did in South Park. Only advising to vote like me again, “this time get Vynce!”
Consider me saying exactly what Syn said:
“I’ll vote major choice, as long as we lynch my choice tomorrow”
But we shouldn’t feel content with anything as major players, or so we think when the bandwagon comes quick like it did for your head, Fuzz, many others. The silent voters might hold more water than any of us trying to sway them to the right targets today.
Page 7 has a lot of good direct communication. I in fact quoted Chief after his direct question.
Both posts here are from the
same page 7, only 2 hours between them.
You can scroll up and read what Aidebit said, he’s not locked on Fuzz or anybody, instead of following day 1 logic about “Aidebit voted Fuzz.” Especially when you paid attention to he was asleep now.
You didn’t want Aidebit to vote for Fuzz.
You didn’t want Aidebit or anyone to vote for you.
Did you not want Aidebit to vote for Sovi3t either?
Yeah, like I said, I may need to reconsider my plans for the first 3 days in the future. Just because the later days are more important than the first couple of days doesn’t mean I shouldn’t treat these first days seriously. I hoped that my investigation of 3SL would prove that I can take the game seriously whilst still having a bit of fun, but on reflection, the fun posts only really served as a distraction from the point I was trying to make.
