BTW, if you want i can post pics of the new apartment and how i am finishing to put all the furniture
I know that some of you wouldn’t believe me without pics

He’s trying to get us newbies defensive and slip up. I think you’re failing Hecatom.

I viewed every profile and pinged the people that had been online since game-start and hadn’t posted yet. Just saying hey.

…Hey. (Hey.)

That must be difficult on a mobile phone.

Hihihi

Been waiting to share this one, couldn’t share last two games because I’ve been mafia. This is the perfect game for it, since there’s so much uncertainty on mafia and roles.

Thoughts on following this strategy, with the order listed in Kaz’s first post? I think it’s worth a shot.

For the TL;DR crowd, it’s picking a truly random order to lynch people in, and not deviating.

Not at all. kaz @'d everyone at the top of the page. Each one links to its corresponding profile.

Not diffiicult just time consuming. Passes time when I’m at work.

I guess so. Still seems like a lot of work. +dedicated

You’ve given me an idea, though. I’ll get back to you on it.

Is that a challenge? If so, challenge accepted, SAD.

From what I know of Hecatom, he’s always like that.

Yeah, but who’s to say that this game doesn’t have a carpenter-esque/fool-esque role? If we lynch someone, and then mafia gets something crazy like two night kills, then we’ll be regretting this plan, and the person who brought it up (i.e. you) will be put under heavy suspicion.

But what if it works and the plan takes out a Mafia?, He’d have a huge target on his back, so he’d be taking one for the team. So, either way, by him suggesting this he’s not going to last long. Then there’s also the case where the randomizer lands on himself (unless he’s suggesting we start with Vynce, then randomizing…).

As a newbie, do people usually make matyr themselves?

He’s suggesting we go in the order in which our names are presented at the top of the page. I’m one for game-breaking, but I don’t think people would see it through. It’d be a hard sell even if we bagged mafia day one. You’d be killing a civ off the bat. That’s usually the ways things end up working out, that said.

Let’s assume that there are five mafia, for the purpose of discussion. That gives them a five out of twenty eight chance to appear on a certain number. They just need to have one member in the final three names to be lynched, then they win. They have five chances to land on any one of the three last numbers. Actually, here, I don’t know if this is exactly how you’d calculate it, but assuming that the roles were decided one-by-one, this is how I see it going.

3/28 + 3/27 + 3/26 + 3/25 + 3/24 = gives us a roughly half-chance of having a mafia in the final three. That means that if we lynch randomly, we’re more likely to lose. @Kaz, if you could clarify as to what method you used when assigning the roles, it’d really help here.

Also, it drains away all the fun, which is part of the reason as to why I’m against it.

Some people do sacrifice themselves to take one for the team. (see: Combo_Knight in FGC, if he put up more resistance, then they might’ve lynched someone important)

Oh okay. That makes a lot of sense.

While it may lead to a win, that doesn’t sound fun at all, unfortunately.

I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t really play to win. I play to get better at deciphering people’s actions and meanings. And then win because of my ability to do so.

Holy shit did you just turn Mafia into a grind session for Maximum points?

I’m in.
