Sign me up Chief! This will be a good break when I’m not working on my 10,000,000G money pile up in FFXIV :coffee:

Dat cast of character images

I was trying to keep character images actual people, and not drawings, as much as I could (Lucian was maybe the only one that I couldnt find a good choice?). Finding a medieval Jailer and Mayor was harder than it should have been, and coroner was downright impossible

Classic Wolfman could suffice. Would fit well with your black & white movies Dracula too.

Also this kind of post makes me chuckle in a strange sort of way, because it just makes me wonder what pietastic does in the offseason.

Post-DR-game - Day 1…

pietastic: I don’t know, meh…Missing Person totally caught on to my contradiction in the numbers game. Maybe I’m just not as sharp as I thought. Maybe I need to always play “so mafia looking he has to be innocent,” so that people will expect those kind of contradictions out of me every game.
Fr. McNulty: My son, this is a confessional booth, do you have a sin to confess?
pietastic: FINE! You caught me. I’m mafia. So is The Co-Jones. And GodotsRevenge is a shitty GM!
Fr. McNulty: Anything else?
pietastic: And…swearing, just now. And lying about Godots. it was just for show.

–TO BE CONTINUED–

Wait…

PW=BJ=Chief?

Actually, Missing, I hang around high-crime areas in my town, trying to guess which people are involved in organized crime. Sometimes I follow them for hours on end. It’s really unhealthy.

That was part 2. Quit reading your script before filming dates, you’re ruining the entire production.

I look forward to an epic showdown with Mr. Glass.

All the roles seem to be based on reads and making the right choice. Points for that might be the only thing that should be more than 1 point, or the only actions that are given points rather than lynches. But just overall winning sounds good too.

Shapeshifter being unlimited…

there’s only so many roles to check them out. and its unlimited.

I do like the dynamic on being a mafia with a 2nd mafia team out there. So your ability in Mafia games as a Civ, to be able to read and sniff out what are now other rival mafia is still important.

Can the choice to be added to the main Mafia PM be done at any time? Or with limits, Such as being structured at set intervals like after their Master dies? Or is it only available the first time they become a Vampire/Werewolf?

I suck with roles

I have never been a Mafia to suck at that but assume I do suck

I just said suck 3 times. I am not a Vampire.

I hadn’t really given consideration to points. In this game, I feel like Town has the hardest time winning (which is why I had to give them so many powerful tools), so having equal points for all factions winning could make sense. I’ll have to think on the points a bit more.

As for the mafia PM thing, you can bring them into the main mafia PM at any time. The reason I set up the whole master thing, is to protect the mafia. If you bring them into the main PM, then they know all your identities. Then if they’re cured by a doctor, it’s game over because your faction is dead. So, by assigning a master, you’re reducing the risk of exposing your whole team but reducing the usefulness of that member since they can’t freely communicate or even know who their teammates necessarily are. The leader could give instructions to the masters, who could them pass on instructions to the recruit, but that delays communication and makes it harder to coordinate. So it’s tradeoffs that each mafia side is going to have to make.

Once the doctor is dead, though, I imagine everyone will be brought into the main PM as there is no chance of going back to being town; but Van Helsing throws a wrench into that plan, since if you bring him into your main PM your whole team is dead.

What I really like is how there are different strategies that can play out by the mafia factions. What is going to be the first night actions? Do you promote to a recruiter role and start expanding your roster? What about into the assassin role so you can start killing off? Or do you go recruiter then stalker, and stalk out a good target to recruit before committing to a bite? Or do you go recruiter/assassin, and start killing people and just go with hopefully recruiting a good choice? Or maybe you want to keep your team small and just go double assassin and start killing everything off. Or skip assassin entirely and go Bodyguard/Recruiter and just expand your numbers?

I feel like recruiter is basically a mandatory recruit, and I toyed with just having one of the minions start with the Bite skill (or giving it to the leaders). If I do this though, I’d like to replace the existing Bite role with something else that could be useful, any ideas? Should I even change this? It gets the game off to a potentially slow, boring start, as night 1 will 90% likely both be promotions to the Bite ability from both factions, right? Is that fine for the game anyway?

Yeah, was just thinking over what they could learn and why a bitten player would be kept at arms length, remembering a little bit about your creation of the game, letting out some info like that sometimes.

Maybe to differentiate Werewolves from Vampires, or to lean to making one side stealth more than the other side of brute force, one leader could start with Bite. Lending itself to a smaller stealthy team or still, having a team of killers that can bite more than once on the same night? I hadn’t read over how many bites per night yet. Or actions to promote.

If they can do that, the game seems fast enough and the decision on night 1 does sound interesting, even if it leaves out a bite recruit on the 1st night.

Black Chief
Pimp Jesus
The… Willy :smokin:

Actually HAX, in that scenario, PW would be White Satan.

It’s only logical.

That sounds like a good alt account to make.

Also, is that a sign up?

Can I claim a reserve spot? [/Bious]

Historically, these games have a 100% occurrence rate of DQ’s. The now rules that allow replacements is powerful on unforeseenlevels.

I NEED dat.

lol if you wish

Oh! Joining.

That was close.

wtf shapeshifters

shapeshift deez nuts

Historically, most players that have substituted in for a DQ have been killed.

Historically, most players that have played in a game have been killed.

Watch this be the first game that doesn’t have a DQ.
