#nowallflowers
I’m here too. Excited to play.
Well looks like Day 1 syndrome is gonna settle in soon. Any ideas what our starting plan of action should be?
Also, who, if we had a choice, should we aim for first? Which of the two do you think is the biggest threat?
Do you think highlulu is up to something?
We should consolidate and then eliminate.
Scum is scum - any dead monster is a good kill.
Sorry, I’m in the middle of reading something.
Checking in. I really don’t want to be recruited.
That means I want an immaculate lynch record. No whammies. I’m on vacation from work so if we can end this in 6 days happy. lol

Checking in, Lynch Vynce, Blah Blah Blah.
Someone mind telling me who marked this insightful? I can’t see on mobile.
Very funny whoever did that.

Now that you mention it, he’s been online recently. Hasn’t checked in yet. Makes me suspect both you and him.
I was actually deciding whether or not pietastic’s post is pro-Civ or pro-Mafia.
Vynce playing from Shawshank. Me playing from Shawshank 2 (China).
Holla.
I wonder if OZ will notice that I inb4 him?Lynch Pistol Shrimp
I wanted to say that this time
If he accepts it as another code speak, good since I don’t have the code role this time! AND NOBODY BELIEVED ME ANYWAY, BITCHES. I also considered just checking in with “bitches.”
But a good idea here is even doing that mixup. This being the send in your votes game, can’t change em. “Trust” that word I hate in this game is gained, or better yet checked out by seeing if people voted for who they say they’re going to vote for. Remember, I also really hate last second voter wallflowers who just help their enemies.
Hm.

BullDancer. Don’t know before or after, whatever your timeline is.
Just reading through the thread makes me realize how much I’ve missed this.

General Day 1 strategy unless something new comes up. I’ll need to think of something besides “Pimp Willy is Guilty” this time though.
As for the second part, if we honestly have the luxury of knowing that two players are Werewolves/Vampires then we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.
Can someone explain to me the specifics of being “Jailed”? I’m trying to figure out what games Vynce may be playing.
Damn nigglets, you sure left enough posts in the sign-up thread.

[details=Spoiler]Last time, I lost in no small part because I wasn’t prepared day one. Now… That will not be the case.
Roleless town here, committed to getting the doctor to heal me if I’m bitten. I’ve done some theorizing and hope to start the discussion by us getting in the minds of the monsters. To wit, here’s the analysis I’ve done of monster strats:
As monsters:
Spoiler
Only bite people who you think would go along with being bitten. Don’t bite the other monster team at any cost. (They find out who bit them).
Probably focus on promote before bite or assassinate.
Detective is no threat to you
Jailer can protect someone from you, in essence…if you bite someone, they find out who you are.
Avoid assassinating the soldier’s target. Soldier can’t protect from bite.
I’d reason about which roles you want to recruit, but I’d be shocked if that came into play at all.
Fortune Teller and Witch can work together really well. When Fortune Teller knows of a monster, Witch can redirect that power. As long as both are alive and human , that’s a big threat to monsters. So we humans need to keep them working together. Fortune Teller, Witch: don’t let on about your role.
Monsters are likely better off just biting specific people rather than roles.Vampire strategy:
Spoiler
Use stalker to figure out who has special powers. Assassinate them if they’re a threat to you.
Shapeshifter: target someone who likely won’t die, first of all. Either via assassinate or via lynch, since the shapeshifting lasts until the next night (i.e., through the next day phase)
Recognize that the person who got shapeshifted will likely complain if you vote against their intention. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, since you can just shapeshift someone else
Shapeshift, when done well, could swing a vote
If you shapeshift the psychic’s target, it’ll make them look like a vampire
Avoid stalking the soldier’s target, since then stalk won’t work.
Witch can switch your target of assassinate, bite, stalk, or shapeshiftWerewolf strategy:
Spoiler
Bodyguard can protect teammates from assassinate or the vampire stalk ability. Probably just used to protect the person under the most suspicion.
Dominate can stop any role… Even doctor. But you need to figure out who the doctor is first. Early game, use it on anyone you think has a role and is likely to use it. It’s kind of UC-like. Use randomly at first to role hunt. Later, be more strategic.
Use it on van helsing to stop him from killing, or the mayor or jailer to stop them from blocking things/learning who did things. Or witch, because witch is a mindfuck. Witch really needs to know who has a special role to be effective, though.
Coroner priest fortune teller and detective are less important to dominate.
Eviscerate whenever possible… Block dose LGs!
Be mindful of the vampire doctor sacrifice strategy. If that happens, build up numbers, perhaps even at the cost of promoting. But also recognize you don’t want to bite the vampires.Let’s figure it out, townsmen, and use our numbers advantage to work it. [/details]
As much as revealing your strategy would do to potentially prove your innocence by laying your cards on the table, revealing strategies to the enemy seems… questionable. I’m leaning towards bad early move over guilty. I’m assuming you’re going to argue that we can use this information to reverse their line of thinking, but at first glance, it looks like this helps them more than us.

You can use the quote function to make stalking easier on people that don’t have @'able names.
They have a PM to hash out all the strats and use multiple minds without threat of interference. If they’re dumb enough not to have thought of any of this… We will win anyway.
Also, I have tons more notes on civ shenanigans. I’ll pull them out as needed.
Hm.

Oh I know. Was wondering if I could get Bull to panic before Godot and Azure started trolling me.
All I know is, given his first post, Vynce is looking as dirty as any hole that has housed Soviet.
The longer it takes for someone to confirm themselves, the harder it will be to win. Early reads need to be sharp albeit fast.
@pietastic, your strategy of being transparent and keeping clean from getting infected hinges on one thing: Honesty.
I know you’re capable of lying now, so the fact is, you could literally not say anything about being recruited the whole time, because you could be dirty the whole time. OR you could lie about not being infected because you figure the odds of winning under your team are higher than winning as civs.
Would anyone choose to hide the fact that you were infected? Honest question.
One thing is that werewolves/vampires can’t really counter claim recruits because doing so will get the doctor to target them and they’d die. This also means that the doctor can act as a pseudo-vigilante if we’re sure we’ve found a werewolf/vampire.
