But those guys are nearly like me in that they would choose to have a new role/give themselves a role claim maybe to spice up the game for their own liking. Saitsu not the same example but when he first joined Mafia I postulated that he was like me first joining, hoping to be able to play and kill SRK forum people, or at least have some sort of role. His deterrence from even playing was all about that, the first game. Duckie went too far with the chastising I thought myself though.

I don’t really trust a damn thing any monster says. However, the fact that he’s confirmed would be a good reason to keep him alive and jailed for now.
It’s a known variable that we know we can box up while dealing with other issues. If any leads go cold, then we can kill him to tie it up. He can’t do anything inside of the jail and keeping him in there is a GUARANTEE that at least one monster can’t do anything, rather than jailing suspects.
I know I’m going to get ridiculed for this comparison, but it’s not unlike a basic strategy used in Yu-Gi-Oh. Your opponent has a backrow, and you have a Mystical Space Typhoon to kill it. However, you know what the backrow is right now and know that for now it doesn’t prove any threat. So you save your MST for any other threats that come about and only deal with the known backrow when it does become a legitimate threat.

How many times do I have to explain it? It may seem random, but there’s thought behind it. If HAX is going to go down, he might as well try to take down Van Helsing or the Doctor (if he’s not Mafia and they’re planning this stuff together) right before he’s killed/lynched. The Vampires must have thought I was one of the two and took a chance. I am not. They have failed.
