We had an OD come in that was bad so I had to drop this and go work triage. I’m way behind now but I’ve seen all the bat signals so I’ll respond before you assholes lynch me. Spoilered below is the post I was writing.

I’m the fortune teller. Vynce is the real deal and I have gotten info from him on a few of you to back up my claim that we’re in a pm together.

I investigated BullDancer last night and he’s a werewolf. As DG was in jail I’m convinced that he’s their second convert or Lucian. Read below for my frazzled thoughts on who is Lucian.

-Vynce is about as confirmed as he can be now in my eyes. He’s clearly either the Witch in a PM with the Fortune Teller (seriously, that’s two games in a row with a fortune teller screwing mafia over early on? What a lucky role)
-OZ was killed by Van Helsing. Forge either died to a Vampire assassin (Can’t possibly be Werewolves because they recruited) or to a traitor Doctor. Logically, assuming that Dracula was of a similar mindset to Lucian they would have promoted a biter. That means that the Doctor more than likely has killed his partner for some reason. (LEL I MUST BE ROLE CLAIMING GUISE)
-DG was a recruit, I’m almost certain of it. GR has been ringing suspicious since Day 1. His playstyle was consistent with that in the TF2 game when he was mafia and slipped under the radar. Although that’s not ‘evidence’ I like to use, his post seemed more contrived than DG’s did.

From here there are two options that faced the Wolves:
-Either GR was the remaining initiate, in which case the wolves do not have a biter anymore, or he was Lucian. I speculated on this earlier and feel it was most likely that he was Lucian.
That means he’s either promoted the remaining initiate to Lucian or he’s promoted DG. If he promoted DG then the cure will not be effective on him. We will either need to keep him jailed for the remainder of the game or lynch him. Sorry DG, but if that’s the case it’s the only way to isolate that role and keep it from reverting back to the wolves.

Vampires are more tricky.
They still have Dracula, presumably the second initiate as a biter, and at least one, probably two after tonight converts.

Here’s the bullshit we need to put to rest.

1. MP will confirm how Forge died. If it’s human we need to lynch the doctor. If it’s by Vampire then we know that their faction doesn’t have any recruiters.

I’d hide it every time. Playing as Mafia is more fun than playing as Civ, and unless it was a hopeless case (as in 10-2) then I’d rather lose as Mafia then win as civ.

This game in particular though, the Mafia factions start with 6-21 and can theoretically turn 2 civilians into Mafia each night, increasing their numbers while decreasing ours. The Doctor’s Cure will kill a non-turned townie, so in that sense it’s similar to a Vigi role. Remember that if the Mafia bites a roled civilian then they obtain the ability to use that role. Luckily the “paired” roles can’t be bitten until the other is deceased.

And before anyone gets any funny ideas, my earlier response about not reporting if I was bitten does not reflect on my role and/or lack thereof, I just like playing as Mafia more.

OMG as I posted my last post I thought I accidentally edited holy shot that was close. oh and any of you salty niggas that want to vote for me just because you lost last game go for it, lets see how far that goes in helping civilians secure a win.

I was on your team last game and you still annoy the crap out of me. It’s not enough for a serious lynch vote on its own, but if there is literally no legitimate (in my opinion) option, then you’re getting my vote.

@Bious don’t forget the TF2 game. WAH sounded much different than usual as well, and most of the LL was convinced that he was Mafia and being fed lines, but that ended up being incorrect. I don’t want to defend OZ, but just be cautious.

Interesting choices by the Jailer & Mayor. If Dracula or Lucian are Jailed or isolated in Town Hall then they can’t use any abilities i.e. they can’t promote their underlings. ***I’ve actually noticed something very interesting that I’ll be pointing out a bit later today, and hopefully the appropriate players have already seen it. ***

While it is possible for Vynce to be affected by actions tonight, the Jailer will know who used them. This lowers the possibility of him being Promoted to zero and by being in Jail, Vynce can not Promote his underlings if he is the big bad.
We can use this to inform the Jailer of the identities of our roles. If the Priest, Fortune Teller, and Witch all target Vynce, effectively nothing will happen but the Jailer will learn their identities. I’d advise Helsing and the Doctor to hold unless they’re 139% sure, but in the event Helsing or the Doctor kills Vynce then the Jailer will know his/their persona(s) as well. If we’re afraid of the possibility of the information being used against us if he gets converted, there is a way to guarantee the Town will know.

The worst-case scenario is a disaster. Monsters get knowledge that amounts to a game-winning advantage.

Given all that, the incentive for the jailer to run off and join a monster faction, and bring that game-winning advantage with him, is too high. Seeing ahead to that, the participants would have some uncertain judgments before them and the web of trust would inevitably break down.

Too much of a risk in my view, but let’s keep talking.

That’s the weak link, having to trust the other roles. I’m sure that each pairing will be discussing it in their PM and come to their own conclusions about how much information they’re willing to provide. Don’t forget also that, even if the Soldier dies and the Jailer’s identity is somehow made public, the Jailer can only be recruited by one faction. If we’re going to go through with this, the Jailer will be a valuable asset to both the Vampires & Werewolves, so it’s very possible that they fight each other to bite him and/or try to get him killed once bitten.

Personally, I’d trust about 95% of the players here, if they were the appropriate roles, to at the very least consider the possibility and submit their action if they’re going through with it.

Another thing I just noticed, each faction has a way to kill off their own members without letting them receive a Last Gasp. Vampires can sacrifice a member as any role and Dracula forges a LG, and Werewolves can Assassinate their own member and just deny him a Last Gasp.

What seems to be the problem, Vynce?

The Jailer can be turned without it being obvious. We wouldnt necessarily know to lynch him. Right? unless im missing something. So, it still strikes me as a huge risk.

Let me say it this way: Do you know who the Jailer is?
What I meant by “cheating” was for him to out himself as the Jailer, be it subtly or openly, so he could get recruited. Let’s say this plan happens and he knows most every role, and he claims at the beginning of a night phase. Is one Mafia faction going to yield to the other when a prize as juicy as knowing multiple roles is at stake? I’d wager that both sides would try to Bite him, even if it ended in a tie. In that scenario we lynch him the next day, his allegiance is solidified as civilian, and he leaves us the identities if he feels it will help us. If he feels otherwise then he takes them to the Loser’s Lounge.

The way I see it Fuzz, the doctor fucked up by not saying anything at the beginning of the day ( after N2 ) when he discovered he was bitten. If he was playing it cool for whatever reason…the motherfucker can heal his own damn self! What are they going to do convert him only to sacrifice him the next day? Doing two days of setup and rank building only to get rid of it for no reason?

That is something I actually hadn’t considered. The Doctor still has access to his ability, so he could just heal himself after getting bitten. I’m not trying to hint at anything, except that I believe that the Doctor would not come out and role claim to get bitten, he would only be subtle about it.

I got bored of playing so I decided to mix it up. I expressed my frustration with being left out in the cold as a defenseless civ, then on a whim ( and while everybody else was RCing ) I said I was VH as a Joke (even attached a witty clip to the post) and went to work. When I came home, and much to my surprise, I found PAGES of people talking about why i was VH blah blah blah. There’s no way I wasn’t about to have my fun. The idea behind the way I tried to have things done was to make it obvious to Bious and Vynce that I was lying, seriously who RC’s VH lol. That’s why I STRESSED not to redirect, I knew it would be a waste if you redirected me as I was obviously role-less. Seeing as how VH didn’t seem to know who to target, I figured I would try to guide the stupid MFer with the assistance of Bious, azure, and Vynce. The fucking moron targeted me. wow. why? the only thing that i can conclude is that Van Helsing is the worst kind of retarded OR him and fuzz are at the same game ( which in that case…it’s bad ) The best thing I could think for you to do would be to get the real identity of Helsing and use the redirect tech with protection from jail and soldier abilities to kill, and FT psychic for confirmed lynchings.

Just in case you haven’t figured out by now RadicalFuzz Cured Forge N2, Van killed Oz lol. N3 Fuzz killed Icege, who I’m extremely glad my suspicions of being the real van were wrong, and Van killed me lol.

Night two was GodotsRevenge being a Werewolf.

Last night was Bulldancer also being a Werewolf.

That leaves their faction looking something like this:

GodotsRevenge - (Suspected) Lucian, may be second Initiate/Biter
Bulldancer - Initiate/Biter, may be Lucian
DarkGeneral - Convert Night 2, potentially Lucian via promotion.
??? - Night 3 recruit (assuming it was Vampires who targeted me last night).

If it was Werewolves who targeted me for the bite last night then their faction stands as DG and BD. If not, then there is a new player in town.

As for Vampires… well Vynce and I are working on that but none of our evidence is going to be released until it’s confirmed.
