Like, both of them are XP builds to start with. I just googled “fucked up desktops” or something lol.
And I wrote my crawler in python. Don’t do that, or you’re just asking for trouble. I had to teach myself as I went because I know bugger all about coding.
I did figure it out. But that one did give m nam flashbacks. I woke up in the corner of my bathroom naked.

Still seems farfetched to me. Jumping from introductory python to web crawling? I don’t buy it.
It would make more sense if you had some base experience. When I made that mafia randomizer jar, I knew absolutely nothing about Java GUIs. But I also had like 4 years of programming experience.
Python is pretty easy to get going with, and if you were to google a tutorial and follow it (like this: http://blog.siliconstraits.vn/building-web-crawler-scrapy/) you could probably easily make something that scrapes the forum for posts. Though I agree, there would be a lot of trial and error to get it to work, and to figure out loops and how many pages there actually is in the thread, and then loop accordingly.
Yeah, I spent A LOT of time googling to try and teach myself how to get it to work.
Python is pretty straight forward, but with zero experience it’s taken me, what, three or four months to get it running well.
Shoot, Syn, you may have inspired me to just go ahead and give Python a shot to make the vote counter.
