No problem.
Is Alpha in a far away time zone or is his schedule just weird?

Mad respect to you NoodleHead, Alpha and the others who run this. I am impressed.

Does that mean the civs… win? Nailed it!

I’m just noticing how many posts Bious had. I’m guessing the Capcoms had a family meeting about bucking some mafia trends.

I think he’s from Australia, so we are actually 12 hours apart lol.

Or they’re content with voting for a civ…

I’m going to read all future posts and writeups by him with an accent now lol

That’s pretty likely. Pimp Willy, do you still have all the post # records? One thing we can analyze is the growth of posts over time. I’m curious to see if Bious had roughly X posts per day or if he posted more and more as the game went on. If the latter, we can also look at people who’ve been posting more as the game lenghtens.

Agreeing on a minimum amount of posts seems like a viable capcom strategy. That said, I still feel it’s likely that at least 1-2 of them will end up having been strong “contributors.”

Yeah, that seems likely. Last game we didn’t agree on a minimum # of posts, just reminded each other to post occasionally in the PM, and some of us naturally spoke up more than others. That was a weird mafia set though, 3 of us got dqd for various reasons, so take it with a grain of sodium chloride.

 Chemistry joke… damn I’m such a nerd…

I’ll kick ya in the shrimp, mate.

Spoiler

We don’t even call them shrimp, we call them prawns.

Day 4 - Turnabout great cow lord

“What does it say, Nick?”

Phoenix looked over the sheet of paper next to Hecatom’s body again and again, hoping that it would reveal some sort of secret.

‘It has a list of suspects, and he keeps mentioning that he’s innocent, but apart from that, there’s not much to go on.’

“…Is this my fault, Nick?”

Phoenix desperately wanted to tell Maya the truth, to tell her that her lack of vigilance had killed a man, in hopes that she would remain alert if she was ever tasked to protect another. But Phoenix needed her to be stable during the investigation.

‘No, Maya. If you hadn’t left, they might have killed you too. There’s nothing you could have done.’

“I know you’re lying, Nick. I’m going to train harder to make sure that I’m ready the next time.”

Maya’s determination was admirable, but Phoenix could still see the pain in her eyes from knowing that she let a man die.

“I’ve got the results you wanted, Mr. Wright.”

‘What did you find, detective?’ Phoenix replied.

“No fingerprints were found on the doorknob or gas canister.”

(Damn! Back to square one…)

“Either way, it looks like you should be heading to the courtroom now.”

‘Oh, right. Thank you, detective.’

“Court is now In-Session.” The Judge opened.

“The prosecution is ready, your honour.”

‘The defence is ready, your honour.’

Phoenix and Edgeworth looked at the Jury, ready to see who they would be cross-examining today.

“Jury, your suspect?” The Judge asked the group.

The Chief stood up, ready to announce the suspect.

“We the Jury call-“

“OKAY I GET IT, YOU SUSPECT ME. I’LL GO UP TO THE STAND.” great cow lord yelled in his megaphone, before marching to the podium.

“Ummm… okay. Mr. Meekins, your testimony please.” The Judge requested in confusion.

“I don’t know why you all suspect me, I’m innocent!
If you should suspect anyone, it should be Cyntalan!
You’ll all see that I’m innocent when I die.
Then you should cross-examine everyone who suspected me.
Especially The Chief or sikwidit or Pimp Willy or Immaculate or…”

“That’s enough, Mr. Meekins.” The Judge interrupted in frustration. “Mr. Wright, you may begin your cross-examination.”

‘Thank you, your honour. Now great cow lord, why do you suspect all those people?’

“Because they suspect me even though I’m innocent!”

“Actually, we weren’t going to call you to the stand, today’s suspect was meant t-”

“SHUT UUUUUUP” great cow lord yelled into his megaphone. “YOU’RE ALL GUILTY!”

“Could it be that great cow lord is trying to deflect accusations off himself because he has a guilty conscience?” Edgeworth asked the Jury.

“Fine! I’ll jump in the Bottomless Pit to prove my innocence!” great cow lord responded. “But you’ll see when I turn up innocent! You’ll all see! Then you’ll all be suspects. Especially you, Mr. Edgeworth!”

Phoenix tried to remind himself that it was his job to defend the innocent, but great cow lord made it difficult for him to even bother trying to defend him. Phoenix and the others watched as great cow lord approached the Bottomless Pit, then as he started pointing at people in the jury, yelling “GUILTY!” at them through his megaphone, before cannonballing into the Bottomless Pit. Everyone circled around the Pit, even though they already knew what they’d to hear.

Nothing. As expected.

“Well that was a waste of a testimony.” Maya said drolly.

‘There’s no doubt that great cow lord was paranoid, but we should double check who he pointed to before he jumped, just in case.’ Phoenix replied, still trying to make sense of why great cow lord had tried to confuse them all so much when he was innocent.

Whew, big post to quote.

Remember to be “mad” at the chance this just happened all over again with GCL.

What a weird unhelpful jury member!!

I was ready to not be mad but clearly not believe him - even more - for not even caring he’s dying, you know trying.

I know the players ignored it the whole way but please

put [I voted for Immaculate with a few people] right back up there.

;…(

code tags, not intended for code, just brackets [ “text” ] hid that whole thing. interesting

NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Fuck!! I forgot to vote today!!

Hopefully GCL will leave something of value in his last grasp.

90’s arcade is listed twice for Great Cow Lords vote count and GM might’ve killed me in voting :coffee: guess I voted alone for Immac.

Sovi3t Last Gasp > GCL last gasp > my LG last game

I’ll bet on it with a vote. A useless useless vote.

Not handy, but they’re all in this thread, so somebody can find and quote them all (or just link to them) and calculate the numbers. My work laptop has all the numbers on them, but I’m too lazy to boot that up, plus I’m off work tomorrow so I won’t have access then either. Next time I post numbers, if I remember I’ll post all the numbers again.

Lynching Hecatom instead of Bious would’ve yielded information that we were denied by the mafia that night. That is a fact, it would’ve helped our remaining UC identify himself. I see lynching Bious over Hecatom was a mistake now.
Lynching Immaculate instead of GCL would not have

He did mention he believed he had figured out who the mafia were so I’m hoping for a suspect list at least.

And PW I’ll go through and find them some time tomorrow, gonna catch some Zs.
