Alpha 2, yes…
Alpha 1 didn’t have customs, it just had chains + ST damage, which was stupid.
Alpha 3 wasn’t nearly as 1-shot death like Alpha 2…

What I hated about the Alpha games… They feel slower than Super Slow Fighter 4.

I’m just going to say one thing. People need to shut the fuck up with “slow” and “fast” as a description for fighting games. It can mean many things and has been used so many times as to be useless.

Man, I loved Alpha 3. Game pretty much got me into fighting games. That, and KoF98.

SFIV,MvC3, and XII got me out of fighting games.

My only gripe with the Alpha series is CC’s. To me a game like SF isn’t build for such a mechanic. Hell I don’t even like CC’s in general. I can only tolerate it in KOF 13 because pretty much the entire cast can do big as hell damage from lows because of CC’s/DMs/EX DMs yet the system is flexible enough that you can net damn good damage thanks to Drive Cancels and EX Moves. So you got options on how you want to spend your meter and get your damage. Plus HD activation in KOF 13 doesn’t grant invul frames and such.

I dunno why I keep trying to play AE myself. I like Oni. How he looks, how he fights, and his stylish combos*U2 is badass) but the game feels so damn sluggish. And then there’s the damage scaling rape. Nothing like seeing Sagat have about 30% life left and doing cr.short>whatever>TU>FADC>fwd+RH>Ultra I for some piss poor 30% damage IF that. Fucking jokes.

This city I live in has spend the last 15 years trying to build itself into a semi-major player in this state. Businesses have come in, existing places have moved to bigger locales, over that time I’d say the changes have reflected a budding mini metro this place was labeled as years ago.

Now an Olive Garden has opened up.

Anyway, it’s the legendary sexpot team Georgia Gymdogs against…eh, whoever…wow her ass popped so nicely when she laid down at the end of that routine. I DEFINITELY would’ve gotten myself into trouble if my university had a women’s gym team. That level of temptation is just too much.

haha, there’s a male coach or assistant coach there… I have no idea how they can resist such strong temptation. I could not be in that role. I would inevitably lose my job due to some scandalous “incident” there.

Parrying takes SF3’s already weak long-range game and neuters it entirely. If you’re not right in your opponent’s face, it’s only because you’re whiffing for meter.

I liked A3, but it feels squidgy.

The city I live in is doing that too but it’s kind of working albeit very slowly. They built a hotel and convention center in the middle of downtown which is kind of failing I think? I’m not quite sure, but they are working hard to make our town a center for the arts and seem to be succeeding very well. Cool little fancy restaurants are moving in. Kinds that I am not cool enough (basically too white trash) to get into.

We also have a great ice cream place! HURRAY.

In A2, I build a decent amount of meter from whiffing pokes. I’ve noticed that no one was complaining about this at all. In 3S, it’s a constant complaint but never in A2.
