SRK Lounge Welcomes Your Shenanigans

I like KOF13 and I pick all manly men.

A wrestler. A commando and a ninja.

Wreck yo’self.

Damn, this new Lounge fell the fuck off VERY quickly. Usually gets to page 5 before it gets this bad

LOL.

Yeah… that’s the issue here.

It isn’t because it’s a shitty, weeaboo-tasatic design.

Clearly it is us.

Daimon is the manliest because he has a son because he fucks his wife all the time.

Kinda sad his son doesn’t come out in his win pose anymore.

Edit:

I guess by that logic hakan is the manliest cause he has like 8(?) daughters

Thinking about it now, aside from Spiral in Marvel 2, I can’t say I’ve ever picked up a female in a fighter. Hell, I main T Hawk where ever possible, and I main Hulk and Haggar in Marvel 3. And yet SG still looks fun as hell.

Now if something like Rumble Roses was the game in question, you might have something there in the whole “paranoid about what others think” thing.

It is if your basis behind it is “I only play male characters”, which WAS an argument here just a bit ago.

I think it is a shitty game with shit design.

Fight me.

Storm was my main bitch. I sometimes used psylocke. Other than that I don’t think I ever use females in fighters.

Edit:

Designs that don’t appeal to everyone? Very much so, shitty game? That i would beg to differ. The whole point I’m trying to make is to play the game before completely dismissing it.

Forgetting everything aesthetic about the game. A dude making a game that’s meant to be 3v3 but only 10 characters total doesn’t inspire confidence (and yes I’m aware it’s ratio or whatever based now, I’m merely talking about the concept).

When the game drops for everybody then we’ll put this theory through the paces. The we can go pound for pound all day on the subject if you want.

If it wasnt going to be an xbla/Psn downloadable title then I wouldn’t be as confident in it either. Don’t forget it’s not going to be another full priced fighter (although I suppose that can be argued that it can reach that price point+ with dlc).

I heard SG’s dad is a faggot. And its other dad is, too.

Won’t fight that. Your opinion.

I always thought that, 'til I realized “what’s the point of 30+ characters if the game just ends up being 60-70%+ character padding?” 10 characters in a 3v3 environment still leads to over 100 unique team possibilities. Focusing on 10 characters and fleshing/balancing it out well enough can still create for quite a varied game, in theory.

Or they can triple the cast and end up with a bunch of fluff because half the cast won’t end up being used anyway.

Who said “I only play male characters”, except Cryoh (who was being facetious, I think)?

The argument is that it is bad design, catering itself to a niche of otaku-boo that isn’t quite comfortable with accepting its closeted Paedo-Heart fetish [yet].

Lol.

Please.

It is a bad design.

I don’t play ugly games.

And that’s not even taking into account the aesthetic - or rather the lack thereof.

How bout this rockB and clu, whenever SG drops and If you actually play the game and give it a chance and still think it’s a bad game. I’ll buy you guys a beer come evo.

So, you can be paranoid about what others might think if you play Rumble roses, but if you’re paranoid about what others might thing about you playing Skull girls you’re insecure?

It’s all about the bottom line-

People playing fighters for different reasons. SRK is home to different sects of fighting game players and Skullgirls just happens to be a fighter that interests me on a technical front. Mike Z put a lot into making the gameplay as balanced, user-friendly, and competitively***** fun as possible. That is what I care for most as a gamer, in an age where capcom just puts a bunch of cinematic shit into a game and call it good, while having to constantly retcon much of the character attributes in order to balance it.

As far as Skullgirls’ aesthetic qualities, I’m not really a fan of the art style, but I do respect the overall theme of the game and inherent gameplay qualities to overlook it; because I actually like to play games with competitive promise regardless. But that’s just me.

***** And by “competitively” I mean actually learning the game to play to win, not just settling with beating online opponents because I already have a grip on fighting fundamentals or wanting to style on my friends.

Basically.

Because if you’re not RTSD all over that SK, you’re obviously insecure.

Best not let anyone know…. they’ll make fun of you for it, and you know you can’t handle that, amirite? :coffee:

Andy, Clark and Raiden are manlier. Because they don’t marry bitches. They fuck’em and bury’em in the ground.

Real niggas.

This conversation can kiss my ass. I’m going back to SF2010.

The difference being one game is blatantly designed for the teenage geek that can’t get a woman and will spend more time masturbating to the game than playing it (and everyone knows it), while the other just happens to lack dicks.
