oh yeah, I forgot about the end of the world in 2012. My problem with Evo is I’m still waiting on a LOT of ID. ID that the States will need in order to allow me to enter the country. Without that, my Evo chances are shot. It’s not so much of a financial issue (although I have like no money set aside for Evo), I just need to replace all the ID I lost in the fire, and that’s annoying considering most of the ID I need requires ID I lost in the fire. So replace one, wait a few weeks, replace another, huzzah!

I honestly can’t tell you right now. I told a friend of mine (the friend who’s gone to way beyond 6grand on his rig) that I wanted to upgrade since my motherboard is busted (only 1 out of 4 dimm slots) works without trouble. He offered to hand me down some of this “older” stuff so he could upgrade his backup computer. That sounds kind of shitty but this “older” stuff he’s sending me is a quad core with one (possibly two) 9800gx2.
He’s coming over on saturday with all the pieces and giving me a crash course on putting all this stuff together. In the meantime my Azza Triton 401 case is on its way.
Yeah dude, get pics of that for sure. I think I’m going to get something up in the Trading Post today. I’m going to be giving stuff to SRK members at a heavy discount because 1.) I love it here, and 2.) I need content for my site. Pics, testimonials, stuff like that.

I just caught the bug for hardware recently and it’s taken over me the last week. This week is going to be quite long while I wait for all this to come in.
Do you have any pics of rigs you’ve built before?
I have some of the one I just built for Duckie, but I just recently got a business license. Up until now it has all been for friends and family so I never thought of taking pictures. Stupid, I know, but I never thought that I’d be doing it for a living. That all works out for SRK members though.

The concept of needing a key to turn on my PC was really cool at first but got tiresome mad quick. Especially since I needed a key to open the door to the buttons and drives, and then needed a second key to unlock my hard drive.
Rabbit I’ll have to go through you in the future whenever I want my desktop. Want a good pc for gaming and that can handle high res photoshop files for digital art.
What? That’s retarded. That case was originally stocked with blue LEDs, but they were like a spotlight. So we went in and swapped them all out for orange. It’s also a silent case, so despite the giant fans, it barely makes any sound.
That’s what I like to hear! Let me know how much you’re wanting to spend when the time comes and we will go from there. I don’t do the whole set pricing thing.
It was quite retarded but I know why it was that way. This computer belonged to my uncle. He finished building it for his financial research job and had all of his clients’ private information in there (some of them quite rich) so the security was for a reason. Then he died a couple of days after finishing the rig and it was handed down to me.
Well that makes sense. I should offer something like that for our workstations. NZXT makes a nice set of locks, but I had never thought of a practical application for it until now.
For some situations it’s quite nice, for someone like myself who has a folder on his My Documents called “porn” and one called “Receipts”, it’s just a waste of time.
