hopefully psn updates soon. My body is too ready.
Can you start downloads remotely from their site? I’m at work but left my PSN running haha.
Learning more about this console this week than I have in the years that I’ve owned and not played it.
Never been to the site myself.
@Joshkaz I assume you’re waiting on the OP game too? If you see it update could you give me a heads up so I can try it on the site?
Yea I’ll post it in like 5 different threads as soon as I see it up.
Lol awesome thanks.
Getting MSH today…
Can’t wait.
Also - I was going to buy Jet Grind, but TBH - the demo is enough to suffice for my nostalgia kick.
I put $25 on my PSN, and I don’t like having extra cash on there… What else should I pick up?

Game of the forever
One Piece Musou is my #1 buy this week…
Has it been said if the DLC will be released today too?
It has DLC? Man I am out of the loop.
I’m wondering is there multiplayer aside from co-op too…
For One Piece…no.
You’ve have to check later in the day when PS Blog releases the full PSN update listing.
I doubt the DLC would come same-day…especially for Koei games.
One piece DLC is just Costumes and I think some challenge maps.
IIRC some ISPs move IP addresses around. that’s how white grandmothers get popped by the RIAA for dling 50 cent mp3s when they don’t even have p2p programs on their computers.
nah.
ok. here’s why GG/BB music sucks:
Spoiler
- Japanese guitarists can’t play metal.
sure they can hit the notes in the right order at the right times, but that’s not all there is. attack is extremely important. it is a physical action that adds or removes intensity from your riff. intensity is what differentiates a guitarist’s hands from another guitarist’s hands. it’s why Hendrixsounds different than SRV even when they are playing the same song. it’s how i knew homeboy from SRK was lying when he said he was playing this annoying-ass song on the video.(now, i’m not saying he’s not playing the song- he is. he’s just not “playing” it. his visual attack of the strings does not match up with the audio being played [he’s lip synching… with his hands- and it’s blatant.]). this is a serious flaw with J-guitarists. for metal, attack requires aggression/explosiveness that J-guitarists seem to lack or ignore, so they put all their focus on technique. technique is a great thing to have… if you’re shredding. technique teaches you shortcuts and shortcuts can help you reach a higher level; on the other side shortcuts can also make you sound sloppy and lame.
i’m not going to go into a extreme detail cause it will bore you, but i’ll give you an example. in some of the songs you posted, Daisuke Ishiwatari was playing moderate rhythms with palm mutes. his strumming hand was doing going down-up-down-up etc. sure that’s cool, if you’re playing live and want to pace yourself or if you’re already exhausted, but not on a studio track. you go down only (for moderate rhythms). “up strumming” a palm mute takes some much of the attack away because you are giving a weaker string precedence over a stronger one (guitar strings are different thicknesses- thickest one is closest to your chin, thinnest one is closest to your shoes). he’s already Japanese so his attack is low tier anyway, why is he sacrificing even more attack when he doesn’t have to?
- too many elements in a single song.
ok, so you got homeboy doing rhythm guitar with the wussy palm mutes to set the skeleton of the song; that’s fine. then you got a lead guitar doing this type of solo/harmony thing from the start of the song to the final beat of the song; that’s fine. then the song is changing chord progressions going up and down like a roller coaster; that’s fine. then outta left field, the song pauses and you hear a random-ass harpsichord going off; ok. then a violin trying to do a duet with the lead guitar; ok… then you’ve got pianos coming in at random intervals. all of this is fine- but the more elements you add, the more the intensity gets divided. not every element has to have it’s own little section of the song. strings can accompany the rhythm guitar. they don’t have to also have a solo and they don’t have to stand out. that stuff with the harpsichord… i mean, it’s a harpsichord. it’s gonna stick out anyway. dude almost uses the harpsichord like a band-aid to make sure people remember this metal has a classical music slant. too many elements in a song can turn it into annoying bullshit.
if you were to take a BB/GG song, strip off all the extra fluff, add non-J-guitarists, and just make it guitar/bass/drums you’d have this (ignore the singer):

it’s about the same speed as a GG/BB song, but the attack is aggressive and focused which keeps the intensity high
- The Dragon Rule
if i can point my broadsword at a dragon while your music is playing and not look like a cunt, the song is bad.
(now this next one goes for Nightwish/Epica/Evanescence/Lacuna Coil/and the like)
- the band conforms to the female lead singer’s vocal style- which is not a metal one and adds intensity “band-aids” to compensate
this is my main gripe with these types of bands. doesn’t matter how good a singer the lead guy or girl is. THEY ARE THE CHEERLEADERS. they are there to compliment the music. all these goth bands have reversed that understanding, most likely because pussy on a pedestal- but are too scared to dive in with both feet and become straight pop like No Doubt. that’s why you have a decent female vocalist singing opera shit; and while she’s taking a break and getting a Dasani, some re-re is growling/rapping/singing badly on the mic like a dumbass- trying this hardest (and failing) to make the song sound less lame. (the re-reness starts at 2:48). song is lame, bruh. might as well own it and stfu.
again, they sacrifice intensity by:
- purposefully minimizing their attack (these aren’t J-guitarists. more often than not, they are good at metal)
- adding too many elements that reduce intensity (there’s gotta be at least 20 people in that Epica vid)
the opposite of this would be Arch Enemy

i’ll post a few bands that showcase what i’m talking about later…
I’ve found out that I’m a rambling idiot. I tweeted over 100 times yesterday I’m pretty sure. Excluding replies.
