I can’t open them now because they are exe files.
Even when I could click on my exe files, the xp security virus was stopping me from getting into the malwarebytes and it stopped microsoft security essentials from working.
I’m sure there is some prompt I can just type in to make these exe things work on the command prompt thing. It’s annoying because all of these “quick fixes” which are recommended and are super “GREAT!” are all exe files.

If you can’t open your shit becuase of it then CTRL ALT DEL and END the XP security (this won’t remove it, it will just end it for now). Once you end it then you can open malware byte and get rid of it.
Or just open in safe mode and do the same (less shit to load so it goes faster).

The XP security thing isnt’ even the problem now. I can’t open anything that is an exe file. It says "Windows Cannot open this file: file: mbam.exe
To open this file, windows needs to know what program created it. Windows can go online to look it up automatically, or you can manually select from a list of programs on your computer.
What do you want to do?
Use the web service to find the appropriate program
Select the program from a list
OK CANCEL"
That is what it says.

Load in safe mode with networking. Malwarebytes install in safe mode. Spybot S&D since both miss something, hooray clean computer.

I am in safe mode networking now, downloaded the malware thing again and it won’t open the installer.
I probably deleted the thing that does the damn exes when I first checked for the malware.
By now I just want to wipe the computer back to factory settings.
When you Ctrl+Alt+Del go over to the process tab and tell me if you see a bunch of “random characters.exe”
No, in safe mode they are all things that I can’t delete. There are a bunch of svchost’s but if I delete them the computer goes nuts and shuts down automatically.
