Well, black or not, I’d want Tiger to have a comeback, only because it’s sad how much his situation contributed to his downfall. I mean, even if it was 'ol lefty Mickelson, I’d want the guy to comeback. No one should have to have their professional life displayed out in the open and scrutinized the way Tiger has the last year or so.
If the guy can’t get it together, why keep trying to prove something to people who know already how good you once were? If you’re not capable of getting back to that status, what more do you really have to prove?

Yea golf has fallen off the map since Tiger’s “sabbatical”. At the same time Tiger was pushed so deep up our asses by ESPN that it made me sick. This guy was being glorified in a way I’ve never seen before even compared to guys like Ali, Jordan, Ruth, and Gretzky.
Plus I would rather see golf die and maybe they can start putting other sports on T.V.

NBA Shootout 97 was like this too. I had Reggie Miller, Olajuwon, Hardaway and a bunch of other mofos whom I forgotten on my team. Not only that but for whatever reason David Robinson and Olajuwon went hard on the three point line; they both made those for free all day.
I like how it’s almost always the people who cry about people who get into statistical analysis of baseball taking the fun out of the game that also complain about steroids making records meaningless or whatever. I thought it wasn’t about the numbers?
I also find it funny that people always go to home runs when talking about steroids, ignoring the fact that pitchers were on the juice too. Also, people making the “everybody’s guilty” argument while saying that steroids are bad because you don’t have a level playing field. If everybody’s using, then how is it not level?

The thing with sports if you have to understand the intricacies of the game. Just like fighting games.
Think of sports like footsies in street fighter. You have to have vast knowledge onto why someone would whiff a move from a certain range.
A lot of sports aren’t good “spectator” sports. Golf and Baseball included. But once you understand how the game works they become much more fun to watch.
On the steroids issue: Anybody seen the documentary Bigger, Faster, Stronger? Brother interviews his two other brothers who have been on steroids for a long time as well as other people who use, a doctor who says that no serious study has been done on steroid use, other who claims that guy is full shit and a bunch of airforce pilots who are on amphetamines. Interesting watch; don’t know how much is true about all of it but an interesting claim they make is that Roid Rage is a bunch of bullshit.
Anybody remember that movie they made you watch in school about Roid Rage? Had Ben Afleck…Aflack…That dude who is in Kevin Smith movies a lot…anyway had him in it and they had to jam like 50 sweaters over the guy in order to make it look like he had put on muscle. I always thought that movie was pretty fuckin funny.

The problem with Bonds, and why most people are up in arms is that steroids provide an unfair advantage, and that makes this particularly more devastating to the game of baseball since he broke the home run record. Baseball has been on the losing side of a PR war since the strike. The first thing that really invigorated the sport again after that was the competition between Sammy Sosa and Mark Macguire. You know, the WHITE GUY who ended up being taken to task because he was on steroids. Let’s not forget Roger Clemens either. Another white guy.
Of course you probably know all of this, but it’s easier to act like a stupid mother fucker and just go “White people care about this stuff so this black guy is getting fucked over!”
