Growing up in the so called “hood” I think I know the slang terms pretty well. I think I have a good grasp on a lot of the urban vocabulary, but I never have a clue what the fuck Nando is talking about. It’s like a whole new language to me.

One of my friends actually has a couple of Evisu… I get flack for buying jeans that are like $200 (well I never actually buy things at full price just wait till sell or get discount from friends etc…), but $500+? Hell NAH!

The fit and the look are the major concern, so why not go for whatever is cheap and still looks good? 700 is almost 1 month of rent at an average/nice apartment here. 700 is a new game system with quite a few games…or it could be several other items of clothing bought at the same time, or what… tons of trips to the grocery store… it’s over 10x a monthly phone bill, etc. etc. etc. Anyone spending that much on one pair of jeans…you have to question their intelligence. It’s not even like we’re talking about a really nice suit…it’s JEANS.

So a while back in the Call of Duty thread, I got semi-flamed for asking if I was the only one that couldn’t understand what Nando was saying, and asked him politely to use punctuation where applicable and spell words somewhat correctly so I could understand what he was saying. The response I got was that I was being a grammar nazi. I’m happy to see I’m not the only one that doesn’t have a clue as to what he’s saying.
Not that I find it annoying, it’s just that I’d really like to know what in the world he’s talking about.
