Lynn has Hard Worker potential. That alone makes her godly. That plus no negative potentials plus above average stats make her #1.

Also, something completely unrelated, but Scott Pilgrin vs. the World is a really awesome movie. It has some plot inconsistencies, but I think that it’s an important film for my generation and any kids that literally grew up playing video games. The reason being is that the film’s inner language is almost entirely video game centric. This is the first movie I’ve seen that REQUIRES you to have knowledge of gaming to understand the film’s internally screwy logic and why things happen. There are so many small touches that made me take notice, things that my girl didn’t even get, or notice. There are blatant ones like the end boss’ sword that looks like a pixelated light saber, to small ones like the opening notes from Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Some of the enemies blink red like an old konami beat-em up for fuck’s sake!
I can’t recommend this movie enough to people like the ones who come to this site. The film is entirely unique. I’ve never sen anything like it before.
Gabe, I’d love to discuss this film at length with you at Evo. I’m sure you hated it, because that’s what you do, but I’m sure you could no doubt appreciate the qualities that I’ve mentioned.

In the Scott Pilgrim thread I asked what was so special about it and no one gave me an answer. Took a few months, but Ronin finally gave me an answer.
I for one didn’t understand why so many people liked the movie, until now that is.

There’s SOOOOOO much in that movie, hell, ALL of it requires that you played a lot of video games when it comes down to understanding why things happen in the movie. Scott beats the shit out of people and they drop coins. The movie makes some really strange leaps and things happen that don’t make sense to people who haven’t played a LOT of video games. Hell, even newer gamers might be left out in the cold. There are so many 8-bit references it’s not even funny. I was waiting for Scott to get a fucking bionic arm or some shit and start swinging. The only thing that was missing were two dudes who were bad enough to save the president, ninjas, and a PSA from the FBI about winners not doing drugs.
I could see an older person going “Why in the fuck do dead people drop coins? What the fuck is a one up? Why does this character look like that? How can they do those crazy moves? What are those hearts beside Scott’s name? Matter of fact, why do we see Scott’s name anyway? And what the fuck are those hearts? Why do people blink different colors when they’re about to be defeated?” etc.
I may put my hatred for Cera aside and see Scott Pilgrim…

I’m not a big fan of Cera, but I thought he did a good job. The fight choreography is such that it’s believable. But like I said, the movie has so much video game logic in it, you kinda just gloss over the fact that Michael Cera is fucking people up.

Each episode will begin with Ronin sitting in a fancy chair, in a silk robe and pajamas, next to a large fireplace with a deer’s head mounted above it. He will greet us with a reference to a Mark Twain story before lighting up his pipe and inviting us to sit and relax, as he reminisces about an earlier time where he was hanging out with strippers and bouncing scrubs from the club. Complete with classical music intermissions.
