i found out a very good friend of mine got very sick and had to lose both her legs, her right arm, and her left arm three inches above the wrist. i was talking to her and she was like, i’m so glad you knew me before this happened.

namingway: she got something called meningococcemia and got it bad; led to sepsis and then gangrene. she’s been in the hospital since october of last year.
it’s just crazy because one minute you’re fine, the next you’re in a hospital bed missing all your limbs. it’s like, how can i ever feel sorry for myself now? it’s impossible.

See? The “human condition” has limitless potential for misery. No matter how horrible one’s life is…it can always be infinitely worse. Oddly enough, some folks view that as a positive… I’d say it’s the opposite. Basically, your life is kinda “nice” if it simply doesn’t suck as much as other people’s lives…like the guy that lost both legs is supposed to be “happy” that he’s not the guy that lost both legs, is blind and got cancer. Really, this world is a miserable piece of shit…and we go on just hoping/praying/etc. that Life itself doesn’t just randomly decide to fuck us over. Yeah, What a Wonderful World, eh? A wonderfully endless pit of despair is a more accurate description. You don’t ever hit bottom of it…things just get exponentially worse in ways you couldn’t even imagine the previous day. Elsewhere in the universe… God continues to laugh at it all.
In other news, Allison Brie is hosting Attack of the Show right now. I’ve never seen her before since I didn’t get into watching “Community”, but she’s definitely another one to keep tabs on…she looks quite tasty.
