3S players hate SF4 but they play it anyway, lol. kof players wont even touch a new kof game if they’ve heard it sucks.

a common complaint i hear about Super Turbo is its too “unforgiving”… i’ve heard that exact word from 3 different people this year (about ST) and i still dont know what they mean by it, lol.

They mean…

“If I make a little screw up, I will lose 70% health and I won’t have a comeback mechanic like X-Factor or an Ultra.”

You don’t need meter to do 60%+ in ST. It’s merciless from the second the announcer says FIGHT.

You can go a long way in 3rd strike with basic parry skills. They don’t need to be next level to do well. That’s what i mean by over emphasis. People think if you can’t parry like a god in 3S then you’re not good and that’s not true at all.

I may be biased but I still think ST is my favorite one.

Pros:
Favors the aggressor.
High level mind games.
Meaties are actually possible.
Fun and damaging combos that are hard to execute correctly.

Cons:
Throws do a TON of damage.
Fireballs are extremely good.
Has some really bad matchups.

is there such a thing as basic parrying? isnt it the same for experienced and not so experienced players alike, just tap forward or down at the right time. Parrying isnt the only problem i have 3S. Theres nothing i hate more than long combos. hard to execute combos arent a problem but i see 90% of 3s players pulling of the same exact 10+ hit combos flawlessly.

Thats like saying everyone knows how to space with normals. All you do is hit punch man! There are good times to parry and bad times to parry.

I used to hate 3S back in the day cause I would fight parry happy people in the arcade but now since I can usually guess parry decently the game has become fun to be again. SF4 is “OK” but nobody on my XBL played it and AE nerfed most of my mains and added nobody I really liked(I only slightly like E.Ryu)

The only thing the donut debates has caused was I want donuts now. THANKS GUYS.

PS: At the end of the day, it’s still a donut, and therefore awesome by default. You don’t argue which one is worse, rather which is less awesome.

thats not really the same thing, different normals work at specific distances depending on the character. parrying works at any range with any character.

Or if its SF4, you have buttons that are there so the game can laugh at you for hitting them. Never have I played a fighting game that has more useless shit than Soul Calibur.

They don’t work at any range. They work at the range of the attack you are trying to Parry. And some moves recover faster then a parry leaving you at a disadvantage. Timings different for multiple moves to. It’s not as simple as hitting forward. Come on now.

If I get donuts I usually get them from a bakery at a store like Wal-Mart. I don’t think we have a Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme. Or I haven’t bothered to look for one. Pretty sure neither exist. Or Hardee’s. Those vanished fom here long ago.
