The REAL fans, the ones who simply want a legit copy of the original films, as they were released in 77, 80 and 83 own legit copies, but don’t see a reason to continue to pay for something they already purchased in an unfavorably altered state. I was dumb enough to buy the VHS box set of the Special Edition just so I could have a copy, and I’m not buying again unless he releases them and stops tinkering with them. Until then, I’ll continue to torrent the pirated versions out there that are better and able to cross to whichever format I choose. :tup:

The 06 DVD are Laserdisc rips. Pretty much just straight rips with no further editing at all.
No he was necessary in both films (to an extent). In the first movie, although the Nazi’s eventually would have likely still been face melted, they would eventually have figured out that opening the Ark can kill people, and they would have been in possession of the ark. In the third movie, it’s debatable because they probably would have still tried to remove the Grail, and the whole place would have still collapsed. Hell, they likely would have had to sacrifice Nazi after Nazi just trying to get to the Grail, and to “choose wisely”. But regardless, Indy WAS necessary to save the day (and not to mention HIS FATHER).
In the fourth movie, WHY is Indy even on the job? Why was it sooooooo important to stop the Soviets? I never even once felt a need for Indy to be there. And to all the Soviet haters (lol), who would you have rather had in? Some asian triad? Left over Nazi sympathyzers?

Currently on SyFy–> Bloodsuckers. This caught my attention not only because of the vampires…but my baby A.J. Cook from Criminal Minds fame is in there. She looks quite different though in this movie though…ah, that dark-haired vamp is NOT her! A.J. just showed up with her usual blonde hair…oh, so nice. She’s an underrated sexpot for sure.
Speaking of that… A&E has a Criminal Minds marathon going on all day right now. I’d pay good money to see A.J. and Paget Brewster give each other some sensual massages.
