“for free” has been used for years (ie. Strider/Doom beats Blackheart teams for free), but describing someone as “free” is pretty new, at least AFAIK. And like all of these stupid terms, people don’t even use it right. People calling Daigo “free” or saying he was “exposed,” as if he weren’t better than 99% of the players in the world. For free.

And people were calling him “salty” too, after is loss to Poongko. I was at Evo. Daigo was smiling on stage when he got his award for 4th place. People XCOPY all of these words and phrases, and don’t even know what they mean or how to use them…

I was amazed at the fact that I could knock down an opponent, mess up execution and do an accidental move, and then do the OTG move a second later and it still “combo’d.” I was disappointed when commentators were calling every dropped combo that was picked up again because of the floaty mechanics “resets”. I was disgusted that by mashing forward+H you could potentially get an no-skill air grab that could net 90% of your life because it put you in an unrollable OTG state. The game’s bullshit through and through.

But on a lighter note…

Out of all the things that are wrong with the game, the OTG window is not one of them. Its kinda big to let certain shit combo; so if you look at the OTG as part of the rest of the combo, you don’t even worry about it.

mvc3 strider will need a low assist if he’s going to use ouroboros. otherwise you might as well save those three levels for a guaranteed unscaled ragnarok. i know everyone likes to press buttons, but it’ll be a waste…a big one considering how much he (still) bleeds. this is of course, if hitconfirming orbs isn’t > hitconfirming ragnarok. we’ll see how it plays out.
