SRK Lounge ver. 17. RockB is the result of Pootie Tang staying in the country with dat white girl

Opera’s interpretation of javascript can eat a dick.

“Uncaught exception: TypeError: Cannot convert ‘document.getElementById(“id”)’ to object”

I’m not trying to convert anything to an object. I just want the element, goddamit. WHO DO I PUNCH IN THE FACE REPEATEDLY FOR THIS?!?!

Hahaa I just read that as Oprah’s interpretation of Javascript.

I was like, Now I’m REALLY gonna enable NoScript.

i just caught this, lol

I can safely say, it gets even better, and better…

Season 1 is still my favorite, even after repeated viewings of the show…SO GOOD.

The spider thing is basically a facebook virus, once you click on the link it automatically posts itself to your wall as a status update.

there was something similar with j beebz a few weeks ago

Previously, in the Lounge thread…
Invincible Swordsman mentioned Sonny and Brenda from General Hospital… I thought Brenda got blown up in that limo after the wedding…? Did they “miraculously” bring her back again already? The explosion scene after the wedding looked like a done deal to me… it would be ridiculous to bring a character back from that, even by soap opera standards. It was definitely her that got in the car… she didn’t get out of the car at any point, and we see it explode.

It’s also good that GH is safe from ABC’s cancellation spree…at least for now. That show has given us some of the hottest women ever to appear on television.

…and I just remembered “Keesha” from either GH or One Life to Live… I forgot which one she was on, but that was the absolute sexiest black(big surprise with that name, right?) woman I’ve ever seen on a soap opera. I can’t even think of someone that comes close, aside from Victoria Raul(Y&R) and Chrystee Pharris (Simone from Passions… I think she was Simone #2, actually. Haha, that’s insane that I still remember this shit. I remember she later appeared on the show Scrubs as well…it was the only time I’ve cared to watch that show.)

-------In other news…
DC Universe: Online— so, you buy the game, then pay subscription fee… then of course you have to buy the expansion content they just released. People are actually fine with that, and it’s amazing to me.

Wat.

It’s a pay-to-play MMO, and they’re selling an expansion pack. They have been doing that since forever. What am I missing here?

link please? Also, if you have a character on there, let me know. I have both lvl 30 heros and villians on standby.

-Starhammer-

Yeah, but the very fact that people have been ok with that for years is strange to me. Maybe I am too “old fashioned” on this issue, but I prefer paying for games exactly 1 time, with extra content (the “DLC”) being an option I would decide on later. No, I don’t really care about shit being a “persistent world” either. On another note, anytime I’ve looked up footage of an MMO on PC…the gameplay looked incredibly stale to me anyway…like if I’m having trouble sleeping, those games would help me go to Dreamland in about 12 seconds. At least DCUO was more of a step in the “right” direction (“right” at least for me… more in line with my preference for pure action-oriented gameplay.)

*Note (if this forum allows me to post it)—I should also clarify that I realize the DLC itself is probably optional in DC’s case… but of course the subscription is not. The 59.99 only gets you the game disc and 30 days to play…after that point it becomes a 60-dollar coaster unless you pay the sub fee to continue playing. Oh and I don’t even mean that like “haha, who would even bother playing single-player mode?” No… there is literally NOTHING you can do beyond the initial 30 day period without paying a forced subscription fee. There’s just something “stank” about that whole deal to me.

The game’s like 30 bucks or something now, but yeah. I mean, it’s either a type of game you like or you don’t; it’s not for everybody. It’s mostly paying for the server maintenance and staff to resolve issues in the world. They always try to market it as a permanently stored copy of your character is what you’re paying for as well, but we all know how stupid that is.

I had months and months of /played in many MMOs before. I happen to enjoy them, but just like anything else I decide whether it’s worth the money or not. When I play an MMO and am constantly being given new content (there have been a ton of updates for DCUO that weren’t charged), it can even save me having to buy new games to play all the time. At the end of the day, $135/year is the price of 2 games new, and if I get a year of enjoyment for that same price? That’s pretty good savings. World of Warcraft is probably the best example for this. There are constantly changes and additions to the game that keep it fresh. When you compare the amount of extra content given, compared to the number of retail expansion packs (3 so far), you might be surprised.

It all just depends on your perspective and gameplay preferences, I guess.

lol these ads are awesome

I lost a friend to DCUO :frowning:

goddamn MMOs I hate them.

Amy winehouse is dead… drug overdose im taking it?

One can only assume so, as unfair as it may seem to do so.

I liked this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxW_ZCd64tg

You are complaining about MMO’s costing too much?

I complain about games like GoW3, that cost 60 dollars for 8 hours of playing.

MMO’s are 60 + (11x15) = 225 bucks a YEAR for hundreds and hundreds of hours.
That will barely buy you four 8-20 hour games that most companies put out with no replay value.
Most console players I know, don’t just buy 4 games a year.

I think your hate is misplaced, Million.

How would be unfair to assume she ODed? It’s the obvious cause.

a lifetime sub is a red flag to me, it means they think they will be out of business before you would start to profit from it

Eh, you never know - There’s lots of possibilities. I agree that it’s most likely, and wouldn’t be even slightly surprised if that were the case, it’s just my preference to not judge deaths before there’s facts surrounding the circumstances.

Like the singer from Drowning Pool, everyone assumed he OD’d because he was so young, but that wasn’t the case.

Sheeeeit,

Replay value is one of the main concerns for me when I’m evaluating whether or not a game is worth the money, so most of the games I get are ones that I can see myself playing for crazy amounts of time, long after whatever story-mode is completed. Phantasy Star Online (Gamecube version) is likely the top rank in terms of time for me… it had to have been somewhere in the neighborhood of 1,000 hours on that. I remember that my “main character” had 440-something hours logged…and a large portion of that was just in single-player mode. I probably have several hundred hours logged in my precious Modnation Racers as well, along with Unreal Championship 2, and many other of my favorites. If it’s clear that I won’t have much to do in a game after finishing the main storyline/goal… then it’s not likely that I would even consider buying it unless we’re talking about a dirt cheap price.

Amy Winehouse <-- not much of a surprise here… but what is surprising is the picture they use on Entertainment Weekly’s site…if you were just judging from that 1 picture, you’d assume she was a reasonably attractive woman! http://music-mix.ew.com/2011/07/23/amy-winehouse-dead/ They probably had to search for quite awhile to find a picture that was presentable. Heh, that’s so mean…yet it felt so good.

*Quick Reply is still busted, apparently.

*There was a giant cicada on the patio area’s screen this morning… the thing was almost the size of a bird! That’s just not cool, man… they shouldn’t grow to that size. I sprayed that little shit with some bleach/cleaner…hopefully it kills the sumbitch.
