What scares me is I was looking into Scott Steiner just a few minutes ago, to see if he was dead or not for a Celebrity Death Pool on another site, and was watching some of those exact videos.
Trust me, you’ll find you’ve gained something, even if you don’t realize it.
In my case I wasn’t playing Brawl anymore. That gave me an appreciation for a lot of other games (plus I wasn’t playing Brawl anymore, oh it feels so nice.)

The DmC thread is just a lost cause at this point. No one wants to look at the game objectively, they just discuss other site’s reviews and how supposedly biased all these writers are to the mainstream appeal of video games. I’ve played some of it and I actually like it a lot. It’s not a bad game, it’s just not really a “traditional” DmC game, which is where I think most people’s problem lies with it.
Everyone in there is just circle-jerking over how “awful” it is because it’s not another DMC3.

Everyone is comparing DmC to 4 and 3 because its called Devil may Cry. When judging a new thing in a series you tend to compare them with previous works of the series.
It depresses me that people haven’t figured out that both Marvel and Capcom use the crossover game to advertise whatever characters they are trying to push in their respective universes.
So if you put your brain into a little bit, Thanos and Mandarin are probably locks. Maybe Silver Samurai for the old marvel connection and the Wolverine movie.
For Capcom, I don’t even know what games Capcom is making anymore. Lets take a look, this girl from Remember Me will probably be a new character. I guess they’d throw in Megaman just to get everyone to buy it and then shrug
I can’t name any new Capcom games. I am blanking and the internet isn’t helping at all. Maybe a Lost Planet person?
They might put Black Widow in or maybe Ant Man.
All the characters in Marvel vs Capcom 2 were used because they were copy paste sprites. That is why Amingo was used because he was apparently an unused character for a new Darkstalkers game.
But people expecting Venom, Gambit, Rogue, Gambit, and all their other favorite MvC2 people are going to be sad forever.
If it wasn’t called DmC i would not have issue with it, game wouldn’t even be on my goddamn radar.

Like if the next God of War game, if anyone still cares about those, what if Kratos’ family wasn’t dead? And he didn’t have the Blades on his arms? And what if his skin was Human-Colored? And what if he didn’t really care about killing all these gods? And what if it wasn’t remotely challenging? And what if he said “Oh Golly Gee!” a bunch? And what if it wasn’t ultra-violent?
What always made the least amount of sense to me about Marvel 3 was that they put someone like Rocket Raccoon in instead of Venom.
If it wasn’t called DmC, I have a feeling a lot more people wouldn’t bitch about it.
Guardians of the Galaxy movie, Marvel knows what it’s doing.
ALso Venom isn’t even Venom anymore. I think Eddie Brock died of cancer, was on scorpion for a hot minute, got taken off, and is now on Flash Thompson and is a good guy.
The point of my rambletastic post up yonder was that there’s a point at which too many changes can be made, and now your game no longer remotely resembles the original product. Squirrel semen as a plot point? The dick thing? The forced sex jokes? Not only is that NOT DMC, I’m amazed there weren’t any fucking cutaway gags.
They pulled a Family Guy though, pandering to the lowest common denominator. The CoD crowd (GASP THAT IS WHY THE M IN DmC IS LOWERCASE).
