How about this one- what if you could get immortality/ invincibility, but the power would only manifest if you make it to age 86? Whatever health state brought on by aging and life choices would be frozen in time with your immortality, but you’d never get any foreign body diseases or anything chronic after your 94th birthday. Also, because of said invincibility, no alterations can be made to your body after the power comes into effect, since your skin can’t be punctured nor anything be removed.
Would you do it? You’d have to eat right, exercise, and not die from random shizz.
Pfft. What’s the point of immortality if you freeze at that age? I know exactly one person who made it past that age without a slew of health problems.
Only superpower more useless than that is being impervious to knives after the 5th stab.

Sometimes what you want to do may end up taking a backseat towards what NEEDS to be done. It’s not uncommon for people to recommend a job that you may not be excited about but can provide a stable income thus a stable life.
Yes, it can provide a stable income and a good life, and I fully understand that, but what if I don’t have what I need to get a position in those fields? The reason why I didn’t want to become a law enforcer because to me that’s a lifestyle, something to take very seriously. To me, that’s something you should be passionate about, not because of the money. It sounds very stupid, but I don’t see myself becoming a cop just to pay the bills when you’re supposed to set things straight.
Homeland Security, I had slightly interest in because of the intelligence side, but I had that James Bond mentality when it got to me researching espionage, when clearly that was not how it went. Plus, you have to go into the military as I recall to go into intelligence agencies, and that was never my thing either.
I just want to get into the gaming industry, but some people told me to go into something around English, or journalism, though that field has been dying as I have heard. If anything, I should start on a portfolio.
I seriously need to stop using this thread as a diary.
