SRK Lounge Ultimate Space Jam

I’ve had a bowl so long I really had to youtube how to roll with tops. There were a lot of very informative videos on youtube not surprisingly.

I was gonna change it to SNAAAAKES#2FAN but that got vetoed

it’s both contributing to rape culture and slut shaming at the same time.

also cyberbullying

tell them to place a complaint here. these yogurt commercials are totally happening as long as he pretends to be a famous producer.

(subscribes to lounge thread even though he hasn’t been around for the last…six or so)

I was going curse Valaris for the title reminding me of that annoyingly catchy song, but a quick perusing of the first page revealed to me that it is VS’s doing. So fuck you, VS.

…Also, the first page reminded me both why I barely watch TV and just how far TLC has fallen. Ugh.

@RockBogart, who was it?

girl: he acquired photos of my anus and posted it without my authorization!
tumblr’s boss: well, how do we know it’s yourrrrr anus?
girl: …sigh… fine… sends anus pic with timestamp
tumblr’s boss: hahahahahahahaha fap^∞

more like “dumblr”

but yeah, i’d make backups…

Consumers Energy… ugh.
Every single other bill I pay online has a simple service where you log in, look at how much you have to pay, and just pay the bill (or a portion). But since I haven’t been seeing a consumers bill around here lately, I figured mom probably lost it. So I went online to pay it. They have this ridiculous set up where if you pay online, you either have to pay the full thing at a specified time each month*, or pay at your discretion at the cost of not getting a paper bill anymore. If you take the latter option, you have to call customer service to get your paper bill turned back on.
*Not good if you want to pay early or don’t have the money at that specific time each month.

I can just pay through my bank, but really? I’m always amazed at companies that want to throw up these stupid ass roadblocks to you paying them.

Can’t wait to transfer work sites. HR and supervisors can’t wait either cause I won’t stop calling them complaining about the site/supervisor and a transfer.

Im going to make it one of my goals for the semester to watch either Dr. Who or Star Trek. Which would you lounger’s suggest to watch first? I’m leaning Star Trek but I have a feeling you guys would say the opposite…

Somebody link me to RockBogart’s tumblr, i’m vaguely interested now. lol

Doubt you know him… Green shirt guitarist.

@Valaris - I don’t live in Brooklyn… I live about 4 hours from it.

@Rock: You always have such kind words for me. Now PM you black dirty bitch

Not being a Whovian (yet), I would have to recommend Star Trek.

Best episodes: Where No Man Has Gone Before, The Devil In The Dark, Mirror Mirror, The Space Seed, and City On The Edge of Forever.
Best movies: Wrath of Khan, The Voyage Home, The Undiscovered Country.

Is it worth watching what’s on netflix in order or should I look those episodes up specifically? I’m gonna try to watch one episode a night.

Watching them in order is fine if you want to put the time into it. Star Trek sinks or swims on the quality of the writing, and it varies from episode to episode. If you want to be more selective, there are probably more “Best of Star Trek” lists on the Internet than there are error messages on SRK.

EDIT:

If you start by watching the eps I mentioned, it’s going to set the bar higher than what many of the episodes can stack up to. Fair warning.

(Though “Where No Man Has Gone Before” occurs early in the series. It’s fine to start with that.)

I’m a huge sci fi nerd but I never understood the appeal of Star Trek it always struck me as really cheesy like Flash Gordon. Then again I’ve never seen a single episode so I can’t judge.

I’m not sure how huge of a sci-fi nerd you can be if you haven’t seen a single episode of one of the most important sci-fi shows in the history of television. That’s like claiming to be a huge movie nerd without seeing a movie by Hitchcock or Kubrick.

Good point. I’ve consumed more sci fi across other mediums (film, books, videogames, etc) than most people, it’s my second favorite genre of film too but for some reason Star Trek just never caught my eye. I’ve been meaning to check it out when I have time but my back log of shows means I probably won’t get to it anytime soon. TV has been pure evil with how much quality it’s spit out the past few years.

Keeping up with Dexter, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Supernatural (surprisingly good not as lame and watered down as every other show on the Pix network), Hell on Wheels, The Killing, Friday Night Lights, Always Sunny, Homeland, Walking Dead, Justified, and whatever else I’m forgetting kind of makes it hard to squeeze in a long running show like Star Trek right now. Which reminds me Season 1 of Lost was pretty damn good I need to finish that show some day.

Is Fringe any good?

fringe runs in circle forever. might wanna check out season1 but I wouldnt bother with more.

lost seas1,2 and even 3 was good if I remember correctly. but like most people I watched all of it :xeye:

lmfao…star trek and flash are wayyyyyy different.
