I finally got around to reading Lucifer. It’s pretty engrossing. Oddly enough I find that I can relate to Samael. I also enjoy the free will motif as well as being a sucker for someone turning Christian mythology into something interesting.
BKV is finally putting out some details of his next comic “Saga” and the finale for this arc of X-Force comes this week. So yay comics.
Lucifer was a fun read - it starts off kind of like cosmic/Machiavellian Prep-Time Batman badassness, and then it goes into crazy high brow wackiness when the stories start becoming about how he wants to make his own creation parallel to God’s, and it gets into these interesting bits about how he’s struggling against the tyranny of predetermination and how he detests the idea of Destiny and everything…crazy stuff. Neat that it ends up kind of like Preacher did, with the top spots all vacated.
I actually liked it just as much as Sandman…I think. Though admittedly it’s been years and years since I’ve read either.
Time to revisit!
Carey Mulligan went full frontal in Shame. Of course so did Michael Fassbender. I mean Michael F. Assbender. The movie was only okay and hilariously overwrought at times.

Skullgirls guy needs to admit that all he does is draw girls because they are easier to draw.
Then just go the Erik Larsen route and just admit you like big breasts. He tried to say he drew them because that is what interested him, but the dude has NEVER drawn a guy.
There are a bunch of artists who simply just don’t draw guys, either because they can’t, or they just won’t. Don’t do that artist thing where you try to give some emotional important to what you do.
Or just put some fucking guys in Skullgirls. How hard is it to just do a reverse SF ratio. 2:8 guys to girls.

the style of art is picked by the guys producing skullgirls. how they draw is dependant on how the client wants them, he’s done ugly americans…those two art styles dont even look alike right? blame the producers not the artists.
my friends personal art style isnt even close to what skull girls looks like.
It’s the style of Alex Ahed. That is the guy. There’s nothing wrong with the people animating it. They are doing a good job.
If your friend is animating it and copying Alex Ahad’s style to a tee he is simply doing his job.
