Meh. I don’t see a big deal personally. A genius girl made herself an iron man armor, and she’s flying around in it. Okay, fine…So far.
A new Iron Man isn’t really anything new. James Rhodes has worn the armor the most next to stark, but damn near half of the previous generation of stark’s employees have had to put on the suit and go into battle for one reason or another. Now, except for Rhodes, the other ones were not referred to as THE Iron man, but they were indeed wearing Iron Man armors.
Now this girl has gone out and made her OWN suit. Cool enough. All We’ve seen so far is that she’s out flying and now [details=Spoiler]…she’s Under arrest. For STOPPING THE CRIMINALS THAT THE COPS WERE CHASING!! Jelly? I think they favor the GREEN flavor.[/details] Meanwhile…Over in Japan:
But, we’ll leave that alone. I think what most people are afraid of is the very real possibility of this being another comic book being feminized and/or SJWed. That I can agree with and it will SUCK if they do that because Iron Man was the very comic that got me into reading them. Here’s hoping they will surprise us all.

i understand law enforcement is a dangerous job, but you cant shoot someone cause you think you saw something. they do it…because they damn well know no reprocussions happen if they did. trust me…accidental police shootings dont even happen in places like italy or puerto rico…cause cops there know family members of slain victims will take care of business if it did.
you shoot someone accidentally in italy, pr, and other “old world” countries where taking care of family is huge…and its a wrap for you.

Think the only issue comic fans have is A: She literally has no backstory other than she is black, 15, and a genius. There hasn’t been much about her so far and she’s now Iron Man lol.
B: Bendis said criticism toward her is seen as racist, which was a really odd way to deflect it. I’m all for SJW centric people if they are written well and set along a good path, not just slap a few labels on them and saying done.
Comic fans are generally a very loud and vocal fanbase on social media and don’t represent everyone well so yeah I see where he is coming from. I also don’t mind the change myself since I want to see how that hair fits into a helmet if she dons one. Just all the drama surrounding Bendis’ comment and what she is so far is head scratching.
Marvel seems like it is well intention on their initiative, just going about it poorly. It feels as backhanded as the people complaining about it.
Pretty much anyone in the MU should be able to make power armor with all that tech just being thrown around willy nilly.

Pretty much what Armors Wars was, back in the late 80s. Stark found out his tech was being stolen and used by various legal and illegal persons and organizations and went on a rampage to reclaim it all. Think this was either right before or after he was super drunk Tony and Rhodes took over for a while.
That is basically the crutch IM story, shit we ran out of ideas, someone slap up a story about Tony’s tech being stolen again.

Thing is with all the aliens and interdimesional beings/time travelers his armor is pretty irrelevant when it comes to plagiarizing or patent theft lol. Shit people should be crafting magitek armor built with asgard and skrull technology powered by some super computer left overs that someone reversed engineered from shit idk, kang or the wizard, or even the leader. So many robots and droids in shit half blown up and left around somewhere that you probably can’t walk two feet without tripping over that or a dude tripping on mutant growth hormone.
*Re: Women in the workplace
Last position I had was in a heavily male dominated field. My boss was a woman and she was hands down the best boss I ever had, she truly made working with her a pleasure. With that said, she displayed preferential treatment for our female workers in the department and in the hiring process. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like she wouldn’t put male employees in great positions if we were capable, but it was very clear that one of her side goals was building up female talent in the field.
I wasn’t really bothered by that fact since if someone showed they were capable or incapable of handling their workload she would respond accordingly with what I thought was the right course of action. Nonetheless the bias was there whether fair or foul. *
