Yet it’s almost as legit (but not quite) as the above term used to describe it; albeit far less humorous, contextually.

Its the first version of the game. I’d rather have fun playing fighting games than not play them. As is I can go between this and Guilty Gear without too much worry. The game is a mixed bag in that it does some things well and then it just has some monumental fuck ups. First patch isn’t too far away anyways so we’ll see which direction they take the game. TI have a hunch that they’ll be able to unfuck a lot of it. You lessen the recovery on fireballs a by a frame or 2 and zoners become infinitely better; you make command grabs 3 frames and those also become exponentially better. It won’t take much to really inject a lot of juice into the characters who are struggling. But I mean, for the first year of SF4 Fei Long was ass, Rose was ass, Guile was ass, Abel was ass…man a whole lot of the OG cast was ass. It took a patch or two for a lot of those characters to get hella good. Getting mad over version 1 means I get to pull a Mike Z and act like a fuck nut because of one thing and not enjoy what otherwise would be a fun experience.

About half the answers from Vanilla seem to be “you can’t do that yourself but I can maybe edit your server to do it for you.”
