Thats true. I mean, im always first in line to shit on the chinese anyways. On one end i get, not the outrage,but disappointment in casting scar jo. On the other hand, japan draws all its fucking characters like white people, is known for using negative black stereotypes ALL THE TIME, and china, where a big grip of international film gross comes from, clearly dont give a fuck. So my sympathy for the issue is pretty low. The last thing chinese people care about is a japanese character being played as a white girl.

Asians arent some homogenized group of people. Thats how they act in north america. They come together, and are like we’re asians. Asian power. I think the ghost in the shell and dr strange thing are happening so close together, that people are caught in an emotional storm of shit thats really not that serious.

I tried booting in safe mode and it wouldn’t do anything. Then i connected straight to the motherboard, still black. just spent 2 hours taking apart the pc, cleaning it, reinstalling the card, and installing the drivers again.

what a waste of fucking time, i really wanted to play dark souls 3 for once. Guess I won’t have time until next weekend, that’s if I have time.

My 7970 ran Dark Souls 3 at 40-60 FPS on Max settings. Overall it was smoother than the PS4 version, but there was something off about it, something off about the way the game felt. It looks marginally better than Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin yet it doesn’t run nearly as well. Digital Foundry put out a couple videos on the game and unless you have a 970 or 390 it won’t run at a consistent 60 FPS no matter what you do @ 1080p.

The PC version has a lot of issues, bugs and glitches. Also there are people with 5XX and 6XX series NVidia cards who reverted to older drivers and got increased performance from doing so. Turns out NVidia really was purposefully nuking performance of older cards to get people to upgrade. Pretty fucking sleazy.

funny thing is that when i run at max settings my PC goes dark mid game, and then it shuts down to the desktop. I had that problem with metro 2 until i manually turned the fans to 75% and +20% power, it seems I can’t do the same for dark souls 3.

I think it looks better. I didn’t run the texture maps on Dark Souls 2, but the lighting does look really similar. The real upgrade is that the particle effects are much better and textures are better as well off the bat. It’s not giant leap for sure.

Even though gal gadot did fine in BvS. I still disagree that i should be able to see wonder womans back bones, as if she isnt a warrior who has been training all her life. With that said, Scar jo in ghost in the shell may be whitewashing, but she also looks the role in almost every way shape and form.

I think we’d all prefer an asian woman to rep ghost in the shell, for at least the reason of giving us something fresh out of hollywood, and not just the same 15 crackas they rotate for films.

I dont know, maybe there is a lack of non twiggly, non ugly female asian actors in hollywood. I know all the girls from asia people would recommend, wouldnt fit the role. Just like all those mentioned in that article. The closest fit in that article would be the girl from pacific rim. Personally shes a little too twiggly for my taste.

Cafe races are PRACTICAL in a city. Small so they’re easy to park; nimble so you can weave through traffic (and get away from cops since this is illegal); relatively low maintenance that you can do yourself; cheap on gas; practically don’t need to insure it since even if you hit something most if not all damage will be done to the bike; cheap to store during the winter.

Oh, he was talking about season 1 lol. I thought the pacing was fine in that one, especially with the gradual buildup of Wilson Fisk’s character; I liked how he was so commanding that his lackeys would get offed just for saying his name.

That said, I have only one episode left to watch of S2. Puni-Shane is great, but yeah, Elektra gets more and more annoying as time goes on. No matter who they got to play it, I’ll wait until it bombs before I bring out my cup of hate. Even given that GITS is one of my two all time favorite anime movies, I’m not gonna cry when they make this 2 hour cosplay bomb. Hollywood fucking up isn’t even the kind of thing to rustle my jimmies anymore. The only thing they can do is leave me pleasantly surprised by not making a total trasheap out of it that ends up not even being worth the paper that the tickets were printed on. Ghostbuster girlz.
