Does anyone here truly not have empathy for rape victims who claim rape months later? Just because we question it, doesnt mean we dont care. Like @Pertho said, ive personally also had 3 women in my life go through this, one an ex who was the love of my life at the time, who was molested at 13 by a well known baltimore hip hop artist back in the day( who only told me about it at the time, because she was afraid her family would kill him), and the other two who were raped by their mothers boyfriends.
I empathize with women dealing with shitty, atrocious, vile, men. But if the standard is that we just say guilty before innocent all the time, cause women, then what precedent are we setting now. I dont believe that all women lie, anymore than i believe all men are innocent.
I dont need a fiction novel to tell me shit. Ive been through it with the people i love. Been ready to have niggas get popped over this shit. Having to have family members to tell me and my brother to not do anything about it. Just let it be, because they know what was going to happen.
Im not offended by her novel at all, im sure its going to help thousands of other women who go through this, but cmon son, dont act like we’re all beast up in here.
Now that I think about it.
I have witnessed thousands of rapes.
I mean, sure, most of them were in anime.
But still, that is a lot of unconsensual boning.
Probably goes up into the tens of thousands of you count statutory rape.
I’ll do it! I’ll let him go dammit I SWEAR TA GAWD!!
The biggest problem with the whole rape accusation thing is that now too many people are using it as a weapon. There are far too many horror stories of guys getting dragged out of their house, thrown out of this place or that, losing jobs or just straight out getting beat up and killed over a simple accusation of rape, not even an actual conviction. Look up Jion Ghomeshi or the now infamous 'Mattress girl". That’s just two of the latest. These guys may not be rotting in prison, but the damage done to their professional and personal lives is just as real. People like Laci Green just use the hysteria to their own advantage, usually for money. Them and their mindless followers make me long for the return of the crotchpunching mountain goat. His brand of justice was quick, funny, and final.
(SFV has been out for only, what, two months at this point?)
For the most part, accurate tier lists take like…six months to a year to be developed at least, especially nowadays where games are constantly patched and re-patched for better or worse. And yet motherfuckers always ask for them the instant the game comes out since I know I saw a day 1 tier list thread for SFV in the “what’s trending” group.
Outside of one or two characters tending either to stand out either for having significant strengths or significant weaknesses, it really is difficult to tell where people “should” be in a tier list if people can ever actually agree on that, especially the more characters the game has. SFV’s plan of dragging the character unlocks out and stated mission plan to gradually “tweak” (read: weaken or, ha, strengthen) people is only going to make this worse.
That said, I legitimately wouldn’t be surprised if Zangief ended up being the worst character in a game that’s geared towards casual players since grapplers tend to be the type of characters that casual players tend to get destroyed by the most horrifically. Not having Green Hand/Banishing Flat in a game where almost everyone else got an advancing anti-projectile option only makes it more likely really.
Tier lists evolve with time as the game matures so, even then we could have a tier list after evo, is more than probable that it will have a different one on a year.
Saying that, there are some stuff that can give us at least some educated guess on how good or bad are some characters (tools, gameplan, risk reward ration, etc).
Everything points that Mika is not top, she is not bad by all means, but there are other characters that are more consistent than she is.
This is of course, speaking at high level play. At mid level and below she is like most grapplers, a noob killer. It is why you see so much salt about her.
