Do they keep rebooting his comic every couple of months after the story ends with him killed in a week long stand still with the national guard before they finally kill him?
(I think de BLOO is talking more about how The Punisher survives in comics in general, even ignoring him sharing the same universe–hell, planet–as literally at least several thousand super-human individuals.)
The most succinct answer is that he survives because for his comic to continue, he has to. Outside of that “Lady Punisher” bit I heard of, Frank is one of the few people who isn’t exactly fit to be a legacy character, even though he wants to die.
His would hardly be the only comic book to ever gloss over realistic consequences though. It’s just more egregious–well, conspicuous–with him because his comics are (self-)lauded as far more grounded and “realistic” compared to the rest of superhero comics…when he’s not doing zany shit like running Wolverine over with a steam roller like they’re both Looney Tunes characters.
