SRK Lounge: The Search for Ronin

You done confused Jimmy now.

Just kidding. Fuck you. The spiderman reboots sucked. First one was better than the second at least, but still boring, and emma stone makes my eyes bleed.

Chadouken confirmed to be TheMartian counterpart when it comes to movies.

Likes everything.

@Manx
@angelpalm

Is a psionic cleric viable? Trying different ideas.

only superhero movie that would excite me from now on would be a nolan directed bäpman movie starring batffleck äs bäpmän.

I still need to see BvS.

Only gonna watch because of Jimmy too. Fight me.

BVS talk in here!?

That triggers thing reminded me: remember reading that when the term was first being used in reference to ptsd, it meant that said things would legitimately make said person flip out. One of the teachers in my school apparently had a thing for paper being crumpled that would make him take dives in class as if he were in viet nam. They meant actually triggering all sorts of bad things.

Good thing its been trivialized beyond usefulness. Even better is the fact that the people who did it will never take credit for it. We encourage idiots to use more jargon. I’m sure there are some catchy engineering words just begging to be cool.

We can blame 4chan, tumblr and Reddit for the downfall of society.
Hiveminds of idiots that basically shape our society whether they like it or not.

Someone has not been paying attention.
All females minus Nadeshiko have nude mods.

Speaking of reddit. I’ve seen actually and literally being used wrong so much lately that it literally angers me.

Edit: doesn’t help either that almost every speedrunner out there likes to use actually three to four times in each sentence.

Taking it all in, i’ve learned more positive things than disastrous ones because of 4chan. The good conversations in it have been better than any tmblr bullshit i’ve come across. Think part of that is it that people will attack your opinions/statements so things dont just hang there protected for no good reason. Part of the problem has been idiots commingling with the smart people who go there to relax. That can make things get weird.

Reddit has been alright but i’ve only ever browsed it for information, not to get a sense om how it functions as a whole. I know its user base overlaps with tumblr; which would make some parts absolutely unbearable. Reddit does seem very friendly for the most part. Only good tumblr page is rockb’s because of butts.

Actually literally triggered.

Check it!

But, as for a Cleric… Magic is set up as Arcane, Divine and Psionic.

Arcane = years of dedicated study, and/or just naturally being magically delicious inclined.
Divine = Magical powers are granted to you by a deity
Psionic = Sheer power of the mind.

So, the cleric flavor comes from having a power deity backing you up. If I were to do an abjectly psionist-based Cleric I would go the “my body is my temple” route and basically have them deify themselves with powers granted by the power of their own mind. It would be kinda of cool making some rules regarding domains for them too. Maybe you can make some combination of the two classes and make something really unique. Seems cool.

I’m currently working on creating my first Adventure Path. I just don’t know whether or not I should create my own setting or use an existing one. I like creating settings, but I would like for this to have an authentic Pathfinder feel to it. I’m going to take one of my old campaigns and re-do it, fully fleshed out for Pathfinder. One of the following:

A planes-hopping adventure trying to hunt down an escaped wizard prisoner. That’s the one that ends in this tower I linked earlier.
A “get rid of the cursed item” adventure, which may not work since it includes a lot of D&D-specific shit in it (deities).
Fane of the Blood Sermon, a vampire/undead adventure I wrote that I could easily turn into an entire campaign setting
Or, Knell of the Iron Bull, a megadungeon adventure I wrote, but with a few flaws I want to iron out. It’s the game SRK D&D group was playing.

One of those, I’m going to adapt to Pathfinder. But yes, I like the idea of a Psi-based Cleric and the Vitalist class I linked to could be a good start.

:tup:

I kinda wish moba characters were like D&D classes. I wanna see all them feat programmed into a game and then letting people go ham with it. Monk not getting zoned out by arrows ever though.:lol:
