Aha. Smarter I now am. Yeah, I would imagine a damaged ligament would leave a person cripled for a while. I’ve pulled muscles plenty of times and I was NOT happy for the next hour. I’m guessing full-on damage is gonna leave you stuck watching…SRK. Get better soon.
(Well, today was mostly a bust. I suppose I do have three hours or so to actually get done what I said I was going to do. Hmm…probably still not going to that.)
Oh, hey. Look at that. I completely miss the fighting game talk. Well, not wanting to add to (for Boel’s sake), I’ll just say that I am genuinely disinterested for SFxT as well and am not going to buy it. I don’t think I ever even considered it buying and pretty much every new addition just reinforced to the point that I just stopped caring entirely around the time that Poiso was announced; I don’t even understand what all this Gem bullshit is about to be honest.
I’m still on the fence with regards to Skullgirls. Like SFxT, the artstyle bugs me, though unlike SFxT, I’m sort of getting used to it. I still has a few other issues, but considering how early in development it’s supposed to be, it remains to be seen how many of them stay. Unlike SFxT, even if I don’t end up getting it or even ever playing it myself, I rather would like for it to succeed since Mike Z seems like a pretty cool guy.
Yeah, it’s weird. I haven’t played Tekken at all since Tekken 3, but I’m “excited” for TxSF, which hasn’t even been shown yet, at least compared to my complete apathy for SFxT
As for fireballs in that game, it seems easy. Just increase the start-up time and make them unblockable like Devil’s lasers. Seems simple enough, especially since not ever Street Fighter even has a projectile. I’m more curious about the hell Dhalsim will work without being either completely overpowered or completely useless.
You mean in your local area? Or in the US as a whole?
Oh, you and your investing danger amounts of hope into things.
No one plays it here, partly because it either gets really silent console releases or doesn’t get them at all outside of Japan.
I think that might be one of the things that was bugging me about the game unconsciously.
I’m calling it now: “Calling it now” will fall out of use in the new couple of years…for something even more stupid.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, if they could somehow be replaced by something more insipid), people will probably continue to beat “epic” and “salty” and the like to death.
…The fuck?
Yeah, I think someone posted that Skullgirls is having an in-game tutorial mode, which honestly there’s no reason not to do at this point. It doesn’t have to be that in-depth when it comes to handle holding. Just possibly go over the specifics for normals, specials and supers. I understand that this might step on a “strategy guide”'s toes, but it’s not like people don’t just rip the information from those things anyway and not everyone buys them.
shes white. i dont like that shit no matter what race you are. your basically saying the color of my skin dictates how i should act or not act…rather than letting me just choose.
Wayne Brady Syndrome. We all live with it. In 12th grade my friend was commenting on how I “speak white” then another friend stuck up for me saying “He doesn’t speak white. He just speaks correctly.” One of the nicest things to ever happen to me. single tear
haha, “REAL” blackness. I suppose the broad in question only goes for those who adhere to all the negative and foolish-looking stereotypes(*like wearing short pants big and sagged to the point where they look like…“midget pants”? You almost want to question them like “Do you have any idea how genuinely silly this looks?”, but it’s wise to not risk being shot.). The interesting thing is… I think that’s most of the reason why a certain percentage gladly make sure they fit the description. I remember a certain friend in high school who thought gold teeth looked kinda stupid…but he still got them because hey…“bitches love that shit, mane…”…and he was absolutely correct in that observation. Then again, that was 90s-era Memphis fuckin Tennessee…it’s not exactly a high-quality pool of hotness, y’know? When it comes to the sex appeal…the TnA quotient if you will… that place has got to be the bottom of the barrel in this country.
Spssh. Not you. I could barely hear you to be honest. I wasn’t about to put my speakers on full Maxell to hear it since it’s late. If it’s any consolation, I hate my own voice.
I’m just saying black people are in a constant battle with themselves to not go over some imaginary line where they somehow lose racial identity. Part of the problem is everyone around them fails to recognize is that being black is what you are not who you are. You have/had no control of being perceived as black. Another thing is that black people don’t have have subcultures independent of ethnicity. While we have our Jamaicans, Haitians, and what have you, we don’t proliferate in accordance to divisions that transcend “birthright” collectivism or location like emo, preppy, etc. So you’re black or you’re not.
What a conundrum!
As an example, go to the “What are you listening to?” thread and take a gander at the type of music I’m linking. Actually don’t go, that thread is a nightmare with all the youtube embeds you have to load. Either way, how many people do you think know I listen to this type of music in real life? Zero, bruh. I just bump Will Smith. Yeeeeeah. Hah Hah UH what what
That reminds me of an African student in high school. In grade 9 this guy had just arrived to the country. He was a model student that year. Great grades, glasses, tucked in shirt. Almost like an African Urkel. But then he got exposed to the urban culture. Needless to say, shit went downhill from there. It was pretty interesting seeing the changes throughout the years. Shirt wasn’t tucked in anymore, he got contacts, grew his hair, braided it, all that stuff. By grade 12 this dude was rockin’ G-Unit clothes, almost never in class, and was failing miserably. It really was something to witness. By the end, he fit the black stereotype to a T. I sure did pity the foo…
This x forever. It’s pointless to bring it up anywhere but VFDC. Everytime I used to see people complain about this-and-that, I always think that “…why don’t you play VF.” but then I stopped giving a shit and just kept (for the most part) playing it when I could with like 1 or 2 people that still play it in WA. Hopefully I can capture some footage at NWM 3. It should be good for some laughs.
Virtual Fighter is awesome but besides the boring character design, the actual moves look so dull to. Add the fact that there isn’t any sparks or whatever and it just makes it look so unappealing. Which is sad because the game itself is beautifal. Just throw in some HK dust effects on the blows and make sweat and blood fly off them when they get hit and that would help. Also make their moves a little more out there.
